I find it odd that they went with Jetfire as the next high end articulated statue rather than other movie 1 figures.

When I first heard the rumors that these two were coming, I was beyond happy. But after seeing Jetfire, I think I will be passing on the duo sadly. What really ruins the look for me is that the head/hat is just wrong (see pic from earlier post). I know that it is a small bit of the figure, but it is on the main part of the figure and I just can not get over that. If they happen to change that, I will definitely reconsider getting them. Other than the head, they do look glorious together.

I might’ve considered this bad boy, and nothing about the noggin bothers me, but THOSE legs are definitely the deal breaker for me. Idk man, they are just SO big. It ruins his entire look. I personally don’t care about small creative liberties, but when half of the character is twice the size it should be I just can’t do it. Such a bummer.

It’s super cool, although has been mentioned it’s a little strange that the canopy is sitting farther back on his head than it should.

I like the use of color though with the orange wires and gold hidden throughout. It’ll be some nice reference for when I paint my SS Jetfire.

If ThreeZero does an 07/ROTF/DOTM Bumblebee in the DLX line I think I’ll seriously consider getting it.

Jetfire looks stunning, and they did it, the mad lads did it. They made him look good, and combine proper with Prime. And best of all, they finally, FINALLY acknowledged the extra chin beard that Prime got in that combination! That combined mode looks so good.

I did preorder the pair after seeing these pictures. It will look great with TLK Bee

A three figure price for a non-transforming toy trying very hard to resemble a fully transforming voyager... with no indication of whether it will have the correct :CON: symbol or the squinty bayverse one, never mind the lack of any explanation for him having a :CON: at all in the widely-disliked source material.

Who is this for?

For those who love big diecast action figures? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

In my own opinion, ThreeZero figures make more sense for characters that just cannot have a transforming toy that is 100% media accurate because magic don't exist. Like Bayverse bots or ultra-cartoon accurate ones.

In that regard, the WFC 3-0 figures are a bit baffling. It still make sense if you love the designs and want something truly "premium" instead of a "simple small plastic" toy.

You'll be surprised but their is a market for these figures otherwise the line wouldn't have survived.

Yup.

Same reasons why they keep making statues of Transformers who don't move at all.

Exactly, they aren't my jam but hats off to those that include them in their collection

There's a pretty large chunk of fans that don't transform their Transformers and just don't care if they can do it or not, they just want something super cool that'll look good on the shelf. I know at least one member of the Twincast Podcast is into them. They're also really popular in Asia where ThreeZero is located (HK) and it's very common to see expensive figures for various Japanese super robots that don't break down into their smaller components, that stuff is everywhere in Japan for $200+. This is the real collectors market, the stuff that only adults would ever buy and kids would never be allowed near. Masterpiece doesn't even begin to touch the price of the top tier stuff (like the recently announce $700 15" Voltron which does separate). They've been making these Transformers figures for a while now, they would have stopped if they weren't profitable. Besides, it's not like Hasbro would ever let a REAL third party make transforming figures.

I doubt the market is that big for this sculpt. I suspect they're so desperate for a sale, that they have recoloured it for any money they can get.

If there was a "Most Pointless TF Product Ever" award, this sculpt of this product would be it.

I could’ve sworn this thing came out forever ago. After thinking about it for a while, I realized that’s mainly because the siege Netflix nemesis repaint looks exactly like this from the small thumbnail images I see these on.

Hmm, still don't quite understand the WFC ones, but oh well.

I am excited for the movie ones. TLK Bee is due next month

ThreeZero makes awesome stuff.

However the problem I have with this series is that the cartoon characters these are based on are slavishly based on the existing Siege toys. Because of that, paint aside these high quality/high price figures don't look that much better than the $30-40 toys that they are ultimately based on.

ThreeZero really shines when taking characters that are hard to render, like the Movieverse characters, and making extremely detailed and articulated action figures out of them. No Hasbro toy has ever really captured the look of a movie character because they are too detailed and weren't designed with transformation in mind. However the ThreeZero toys look like those movie characters stepped off the screen.

By comparison these WFC figures just look like they busted out of their boxes on the shelves of Walmart.

ThreeZero Transformers The Last Knight Optimus Prime Revealed

by D-Maximal_Primal
Thanks to the ThreeZero Facebook page, we have our first look at one of their newest offerings in the Deluxe size class, Transformers The Last Knight Optimus Prime!

Optimus appears here in the knight body style he picked up in Age of Extinction and held onto for The Last Knight. This body has been difficult for toys to replicate, so this is quite possibly the best looking figure this Prime design will ever get. Optimus got a single teaser image, showing him standing stoic with his sword. He looks to continue the trend of high levels of detail, paint work, and attention to the CAD file as has become common with the ThreeZero figures.

While we have no hard release date yet or a price, ThreeZero did indicate Prime is meant to come out this year, following the release of The Last Knight Bumblebee who is meant to see release this year as well.

Check out the image below, and let us know what you think in the comments section below!

Despite the fact that there's already a few 3P figures that looks almost as good in bot mode AND are transformable, only a 3-Zero style action figure can replicate the perfect screen accuracy of that insane design.

For me, ThreeZero figures aren't just about screen accuracy anymore. Once you hold one of these figures in your hand, the weight, the die cast, the paint, oh man it's impossible not to fall in love with it. It's just irresistible to hold.

This WILL be mine.

You DO know that a 3P, arguably MP version of Armada Megatron has recently been released, right?

By principles, 3p doesn't count.

Speaking of official releases, I do wonder how Takara/Hasbro will handle a MPM AoE Optimus? Based on the recent MPM Beetimus, my hopes aren't high.
