Exactly the kind of headline Transformers fans love seeing, not only is Funko in there but so is "Walmart Exclusive". Joking aside, this may be one of the Transformes products fans are least upset to be Walmart exclusive. This is a half mask of Funko Pop Optimus Prime. It is from the company Disguise Inc which revealed it on Twitter.

here is what the Tweet said:

Autobots assemble to defeat the Decepticons from destroying planet earth. Optimus Prime Funko Pop! Half Mask coming soon exclusively at Walmart! Stay tuned for more reveals!

Wow - that mask looks HUGE. If there are no electronics, it might be light enough. But even so, it could be pretty darn heavy.

should be really light in fact. Judging by the pic, it's not an helmet, but just a front face mask.

Ah yes, a 'half mask' it says. Meaning the BACK of the wearer's head should be uncovered, and it will be held in place with straps or some such rigging. We can only wait and see. There are several possibilities in terms of materials. It could be thin and flimsy, like those el-cheapo Halloween masks they make for little kids. Or it could be thick and sturdy, like a paintball mask. Still really wide though. If it catches a stiff breeze, it looks as if it would serve as a powerful sail...

It's not their first mask so it should be made the same way as their other ones. Thin but not flimsy plastic and a thick adjustable strap.

The size is just so it makes you look like a Pop.

I just received my Funko Pop Unicron from GameStop today. I am glad i waited a bit before buying him on line through GameStop because i got him for 32 dollars, rather than full price at 40 dollars. I have included comparison photo of him with Optimus Prime and Soundwave. As you can see his actual head is smaller but with the horns that pretty much makes up the overall head size, when comparing him to OP and Soundwave.

Overall a pretty cool looking little dude.

Forgot about Unicron, I still kinda want it but I'm not sure $40 is worth it.

I can truly understand that, I think with it being on sale was the main reason on buying him at that moment. I'm sure he will be on sale again but who knows.

Found this at a local Walmart today in Nixa, MO. Gotta love Walmart for already putting out Christmas stuff. This Hallmark Ornaments Funko Pop Optimus Prime measures around 3 1/2 inches tall. Even though it has some scratches or scuff marks it is still pretty detailed for the size.

My local Walmarts haven't set up Christmas stuff yet amazingly. Both of them still have their full lawn and garden stuff out and the area outside of L&G that also usually has Christmas stuff is all toy clearance. Heck, aside from candy they don't have Halloween stuff out yet either. Feels like they're way behind, even Sam's Club has had costumes out for about a month now.

Its crazy how early Christmas stuff is put out in my neck of the woods. I know this is off topic but in reference to Halloween costumes at Sams Club, had you seen the Optimus Prime one that allows the child to go from robot to truck?

Yes, there's a Bumblebee, too. I remember seeing them in the current ad and in store, and then completely forgot about them. Probably worth an article... :-?

Wow, really, I didn’t see that one but they did have the regular type BB costume on the rack. I posted the OP costume under Missouri sighting because i thought it was a cool costume for a kid.

Funko is Giving Transformers Themed NFTs Another Go

I know what you needed more of in your life, NFT Trading showing Funko Pop toys based on Mr Potatoe Head dressed up as either Bumblebee or Optimus Prime. Well Funko is there to help with their latest NFT lottery offering (here is a link to their previous one). It was revealed on their site that their next NFT lottery will include Mr Potatoe Head Transformers Funko pops among other Hasbro "retro" toys themed pops. Below is a breakdown of how it works, written by Pcsolyar, along with the NFTs and images of the physical Funko Pops you might win through this.

You buy a digital pack of NFTs (5 NFTs for $9.99 or 15 for $29.99) and have a very small chance of getting a rare one that comes with the physical product redemption. Optimus is the "grail" of the wave, with a 0.28% pull rate. The other 5 physical redemptions, including Bee, have a 1.72% pull rate. Most people just get worthless ones. It's just digital trading cards with the NFT buzzword tacked on and the chance to win a physical Pop! figure. And if you collect the full set, excluding the physical redemption ones, you get a bonus physical Funko of their mascot in a Hasbro t-shirt holding a Simon game.

These were successful enough last time to warrant a second go? That's unfortunate.

Electronic Arts would be so proud of Hasbro giving Funko the go-ahead on this.

Sad to read that this isn't their first rodeo with the NFT scam.
