It's hard to notice, but the detailing on the snout is asymmetric, the measurements for each half were slightly off when the mold was cut it seems.

If you're fine with just the TR,it's all right. But the new voyager is much more G1 accurate. Plus if you love Cyclonus's transformation, we get the same magic here.

For me, I want them all.

Too bad I slept on Botcon Metalhawk all those years because he's now definitely nope'd priced.
As for the OG G1, it's just a pipe dream. Even if I'd be a millionaire, finding one that is 100% complete is a near impossibility.

I recently got the Movie Advanced AoE Hound, Special Army Camo version. I remember how great of a mold that toy is and that deco is just perfect. Far superior to the original release.

Now before anyone tell me I'm in the wrong thread, here's the Wreck N Rule Legacy Bulkhead.

Same overall proportions. Same overall looks. Same colors. Same love for weapons.

Image

And the exact same vehicle mode.

Image

Surprisingly, Bulkhead is bigger than Hound.

Image

Same vehicle, same deco, same love for weapons.

So, yeah. For me, Legacy Bulkhead have absolutely nothing to do with the Prime Universe. He's the "geewunification" of AoE Hound. Those two are the same character in two different universes. It's just perfect!

Forgot about Devcon, will likely get depending on ho it turns out as I liked the art depicting him.

Hoping they rerun Dead End, I still need him and Breakdown.

Detritus? I wonder if Earthmode Hound redeco or Siege? I hope the latter so I can use Earth Hound and have some variation.

Wonder what Devcon will look like.

Nemesis Destron wrote:I'm very much content with TR Metalhawk...anybody else? >:oP :VEHI:

Same, mostly. I prefer the brighter yellow on this one for sure to the dark gold, and I think I just overall prefer his spaceship mode to the F15, even though an earth mode fits more for what I want to do with him. I am also not a fan of how much light grey is peeking through and how narrow the cockpit is. But I am planning on getting him in and I expect I will like it a lot in person.

D-Maximal_Primal wrote:I got my Legacy Breakdown and Scraphook today, which is pretty fun considering I only just ordered them Thursday night from Pulse.

Breakdown is breakdown, nothing really exciting. The best thing I did with him was throw him onto Menasor as a back calf. 3 of the 5 Mena-cons really did turn out pretty mediocre. The combiner itself is nice, but the latter 3 cons kinda made me like him less. I actually almost prefer him without the leg bots, and Dead End just does not look good on the arm like Dragstrip does. He's nice, and better than CW, but he's still a bit disappointing.
Perhaps he'd look better with CW Dead End, Wildrider, and Breakdown instead? There are some options for shoulder adapters out there (one on Shapeways, and a print-your-own on Cults3D).

D-Maximal_Primal wrote:Scraphook is really awesome, I love his highly greebled scrappy design, and the colors in hand are ace. He is so much fun, and his truck mode is rad too. He is great, highlight of the wave so far for me. He also makes a cool leg
I think people are now obligated to make a connector add-on for him.

Nemesis Destron wrote:I'm very much content with TR Metalhawk...anybody else? >:oP :VEHI:
Eh, IMO the only thing TR's got over Legacy is you wouldn't need aftermarket parts to swap the faceplate onto the PotP Prime Master.

Yep. Funny enough, in the time I have been in the fandom, he has always been Slug. So for me, he is and will always be Slug.

As for Hound, i had the same idea months ago, including giving him Red Cog's entire arsenal.

I class him as Slug now as well, despite knowing his previous name for years. Thing is, I can't fully remember when he was even renamed. I know IDW did a skit with it in their Dark Cybertron event back in 2014ish.

I think Animated was the first, they named the triceratops "Snarl". Not sure if anything before that started the trend away.

And since then, IDW, FOC, the movies, Cyberverse, PotP, SS86, and Legacy have all used Slug. I think the Slug might outnumber the Slag now in terms of toys and fictional appearances.

Oh, nice idea!
Maybe painting Bulkhead's chin in black for the final touch?

Pretty sure Fall of Cybertron was the first to use the name "Slug". During the time of Animated calling him "Snarl", IDW was still using the "Slag" name.

The FoC game was indeed the first to use the new name overall. The first toys were the AoE ones, which worked out in a sense since they were new interpretations. Not too happy with "Strafe" and "Slog" tho.

I could see a 5th Core wave with Skar, Swoop and Snarl since the other three all got second runs in later waves. If not then wave 1 of 2024.

So, did anyone ask any important questions during the stream like why did Hasbro decide NOT to use the new "Sandwich" style packaging for the Evolution figures even though it was shown in the teaser pics? Or why there wasn't any Earthspark product available in the US during the holiday season?

The stream on Tuesday didn't have a Q&A except maybe in the sense of the reps addressing some fandom concerns, directly or indirectly.

"Sandwich packaging, meaning like they did for Select Magnificus?
That was a clever way to pack without any twis-ties. I wonder if that was just a one-shot deal? :-?

Never even paid attention to the baynus nothound figure before due to the movie design being that bad but the toy looks pretty good. Hasbro should probably have gone for baynus over prime bulkhead as that figure wasnt a prime bulkhead to anyone for the most part.

As for metalhawk I like the legacy toon botmode over TR Metalhawk but functional cockpit and titanmaster wins out. I'd want the funpub metlhawk to go with my deluxe thunderwing tho :/ not quite sure Legacy Metalhawk would fit in with my NitroZeus/Thunderwing head but it's a reason for me to actually consider picking him up.
Still a shame they never did TR skyshadow as thunderwing but there might be a slim chance of it in a buzzworthy release.

I'm surprised no 3rd party has made an upgrade kit with a Movieverse Hound head to swap onto the Legacy Bulkhead body to make a proper Legacy Movieverse Hound.

Really digging Scraphook. I switched his accessories around a bit, but ultimately my favorite arrangement is the one in the instruction manual. Hopefully the Junkions will get variants withn new decoes or tooling, but even just moving around parts like the smokestacks or the spare tire can change the silhouette. I'm going to get at least one of every Junkion they put out.

Me too.
For now, I gave him all the extra guns from Red Cog except the "mutagen tube".
Without a custom 3D printed "G1" AoE Hound head, I think painting Bulkhead's big chin in gloss black will do the job.

Pretty sure everyone agreed it was just packaged backwards by the photographer or whoever so the part cut out to go behind the figure for back kibble ended up on the front. They just did it again with Origins Jazz.
