I'm wondering when we'll see a new Windblade. Her last Generations figure was also in Titans Return, and she seems to be a major character in the new comics, so I'm expecting an update before Arcee. On the other hand, there are multiple Cyberverse toys for her, so maybe not.

Good question..... and will she be a tetra jet lol

So i’ve been wanting to do this comparison for a while. You really can’t go wrong with either collection imo. Siege will definitely be more unique and mechanically interesting. But the CW line as a whole still looks nice together. (For sake of full disclosure- this is the Takara Prime set). Meant to grab both Hounds... but I think this is a fair summary.

Doubt Windblade will be a tetra jet as the comics show her with her Earth mode. As for Slipstream: Yes please! Though I'd want her to have a new mold actually, it's a real shame that all but one of her toys has been a repaint of an existing one.

I thought Hasbro can't top the Trilling 30 Springer ever in a main line so I thought I'd never have to get another Springer (except - MAYBE - Masterpiece) but this... this... while the engineering and quality still isn't anywhere close to the T30 mold, but damn... the G1 nostagia is calling me to get it.

Red Alert is a pass for me, not worth double dipping on the same mold.

I generally like the designs and engineering on these, but whenever I get a new one in hand, I feel like the plastic is cheap and that they cut too many corners on the final products (let no putting pegs in starscreams chest plate.

In an amusing twist, a recent Starscream mold got retooled into a female character at mass retail. But it wasn't as Slipstream, it was as Elita-1.

For some, there can only be one. ;)

Even though he came out first, it really looks more like Elita 1 was the original idea and Starscream was the random retool opportunity to have more G1 on the shelves. hasbro never cared for that mold as a seeker, proven by the lack of any further redecos.

For my part, I really like this Springer. He evokes the G1 aesthetic as well as the IDW pre-thrilling 30 aesthetic. I guess I'm going to end up owning both - I still have Thrilling 30 in the box.

I like Springer, but what I don't like is the "battle damage" being on the green part of his chest instead of the yellow. In both alt modes the fronts look strange being bright yellow in the middle and all scuffed up on the sides. The colors don't bother me at all, they're basically cartoon accurate.

I'm really excited about this Springer even though I have T30. It'll be nice to get one that's more G1 in toy and character design. And my collection (if not shelving) has room for both: Siege with the animated movie cast, and T30 with the Wreckers.

I don't mind how the battle damage looks, and I don't get the "Play-doh" look of the plastic. I think he looks great, just wondering how tall he is compared to the T30 version

I'd be another one for a good Retail Slipstream figure, not to mention Flamewar too!

New Stock Photos of Siege Deluxe Wave 3 In and Out of Package

Looks like it's been a good week for Siege stock photos. First we had a handful of photos come in from Takara Tomy and now we have some new wave 3 Deluxe stock photos from Hasbro. First appearing on Forbidden Planet's online store we get another look at Brunt, Refraktor, and Red Alert. Brunt's orange canon tip has returned and appears to be part of his final design. However it appears Red Alert has undergone several changes from his CG stock images and Toy Fair 2019 display, seemingly not for the better. He has lost nearly all of his Cybertronian text except for on his upper chest, his windows are considerably darker, and his light bar is now black instead of red.

Do some of the changes effect your opinion of these figures, for better or worse? Sound off in the Energon Pub forums below and let us know!
