Hey, somebody else that has love for Ultra Jetstorm! I haven't tried it on Jetstorm yet, because I haven't gotten around to mocking up something to keep the spray off of his head, but I used some Testors Flat Clear coat on Transmetal Rattrap's tail and it did the trick. No more flaking~

I've since bought some Gloss coat (because the Flat coat was a terrible mistake in terms of aesthetics for all of the obvious reasons that I wasn't thinking about when I bought it!), and I'll use that for Jetstorm, Blastcharge, Rattrap's wheels, and I'll probably put a coat of it on his tail too.

A word of warning though! Don't make the first few coats thick, it'll eat some of the paint! As long as you're careful, it works wonders, and once I was a little more judicious about how much I used, I didn't see any more paint melting away. Mind you, it was only a very little bit, but it'd bug me more on Jetstorm, since his chrome hasn't all flaked away yet.

Thanks for the advice. I'll keep that in mind. Unfortunately, some of the paint is gone. Which mean I'll have no choice but to find the right metalic blue and use that. Or even scratching the rest of that paint away first then repainting the parts.
For now, it's not too big an issue. It kinda give him a "battle damaged" look.

I must repeat this. Beast Machines toys were HUGE compared of today. Jet storm is supposed to be an ultra class, yet it's BIGGER than ALL my leader figures from any lines! Air Attack Optimus Primal should be considered a SUPREME class figure. Also, Big obvious deluxes that cannot compare to DotM and further.

I love big transformers, even if my space is limited. I think I will look out for more Beast Machine toys, even with the paint flaking problem.

Picked up complete Monstructor from the post-office yesterday! Great condition all round, with good shells (very cute and Pokemon-like) and VERY tight inner robots. Even Slog and Bristleback are in pretty good condition, although both do show the start of cracks along their stress points. There's very little chance of me actually even thinking about transforming Bristleback, considering his tightness.

I made a killer trade way back by giving my G1 Doubledealer plus a sealed Seacon reeissue set for a shitload of 2007 Movie toys.

Well, I bought back a Doubledealer, 100% complete on Ebay plus a Reprolabel set. Everything with shipping set me a nice 75$ for a grand total.

Jaruga. Breast Force Baja Buggy. No accessories but I don't mind. Can't believe he's the same size, and similar colour scheme to Stepper. Thought he'd be small like a Stunticon. Did not expect to see him. Looks nice with Botcon Leozack.

Rescue Force Drill Tank. Breast Force repaint and a Euro exclusive.

Mini G1 Roadbuster. A real surprise and a pleasant one. Along with Jaruga, Sunstorm and the Drill tank, I wasn't expecting or looking for any of them and love the four of them.

Rotorstorm. No weapons but I've been wanting him since Last Stand. Great toy. Nick Roche even signed the bag he came in. Very nice fellow.

I ignored him back then, but now I finally bought HftD Axor. 15$+taxes hidden in a pharmacy Jean Coutu. Normal full price but still.

Man, that is one GREAT transformer. The vehicle mode is nasty looking (in a good way) plus it's one tall, tall, TALL, robot. He's taller than most voyagers!

His only flaw is his damn stupid arms that keep popping off the ball joints.

Picked up a Transformers: Prime Robots in Disguise Dead End.

I got 25th anniversary SDCC reissue Soundwave w/ Buzzsaw, Ratbat, Laserbeak, and Ravage a few weeks ago as a wedding present from my new bride .

At a local comic convention, I picked up a loose G1 Hoist and my wife got a complete (except for box) Armada Jetfire w/Commetor (she's been wanting a space shuttle transformer for a while).

I also recently got Kre-O Devastator (with a coupon). I really like him in all his modes. The little construction site adds a lot and really gives things a nice scale.

Yeah: tenner = ten pounds, fiver = five pounds.

It's about $15 with the current exchange rate.

Picked up Cybertron Legends Jetfire, Armada Hoist (sans minicon ), and Energon Steamhammer for a pretty good price on Ebay. Steamhammer is definitely the gem, I really hope I can get my hands on some combiner limbs to give to him (and then find a Hulk tank so I can can make it GLORIOUS)!
