Oh I get it! You're constantly pandering to the cartoon accuracy jerks as usual. You're just too damn cheap & lazy to include 2 heads? You can include multiple heads with Marvel Legends all the time but not with Transformers? You just can't include a cartoon accurate head + a toy accurate head? You're never ever going to make a Wheeljack figure with a toy accurate head for me? Thanks a lot! I really appreciate it! Now why don't you go raise the prices again. Isn't it about time we start paying $29.99 for deluxe class? JERKS!!!

On some episodes, Grapple's head was yellow. Guess they picked one, but they seem to be leaning 'cartoon' with this line.

Don’t bother. He’s a troll who jumps between sites throwing fits about the same stuff and leaves. He’s not here to have conversations. Just stir pots

To be fair he has a point, transformers is borrowing effects parts and the build a figure ideas from the marvel legends figures so hopefully they will include multiple heads at some point.

Still, I'll apply my advice more generally: if you find you're irrationally angry about minor toy issues, you may have clinical depression. Talk to your doctor and see if not being a jerk on the internet is right for you.

Completely different costs and engineering. They only have that they are toys in common.

Grapple and the new Prime are looking good and I will probably picking them up. I also had the old classics Starscream so i might pick up this new one.

Buyers are going to have to be careful on figure swapped returns for starscreams.

Grapples arms with the hollow/hands faced upwards in vehicle mode is a bit urk, hoping the potential inferno does it differently or that that it works with the arms rotated. I'll probably end up picking one up to display in vehicle mode next to the MP with the classics figure being my main toy bot.

He does or claims to. On tfw2005 all throughout September and October anytime something about generations is shown or announced he goes on the stupid tangents about being disabled and it’s hasbro and the governments fault he can’t afford toys and lashes out on hasbro and everything for it to a point where threads have been purged.

Again he’s not here to have conversations, not here to be part of a community or any community. Just throw fits, blame whoever he feels like, leaves, waits for another site to post the same news and say the same stuff and leave because he’s a nut job and gets off on it.

Dengeki Hobby has even more pics of Hoist, Optimus, Soundbarrier and Grapple:

https://hobby.dengeki.com/news/875051/

Interestingly, it says that Grapple and Soundbarrier are going to be TakaraTomy Mall exclusives in Japan instead of mass retail figures (like how they will be in Hasbro's version of the line).

I may have to replace my RTS Grapple with this one. The flaws were his open hands which you could not give him a decent weapon. Hasbro SHOULD have armed him just as they did with Earthrise version.

The great thing about RTS vs Earthrise Grapple is that he didn't look like his G1 mold much like this new mold. I'm just sayin'...'nuff said! :VEHI:

Takara Releases New Images of Earthrise Figures Showing Interactivity with Bases

We have Takara's stock images for the first batch of Earthrise figures. These are not renders and thus give us a good idea of what these toys will look like in hand, or on the shelves. We have images of voyager Grapple, leader Optimus Prime, deluxe Hoist and Soundbarrier (who turns into a shield or a ramp). We also have images of how they interact together with Optimus wearing Sound Barrier as a shield, Grapple picking up Soundbarrier and Hoist attaching to the bases. In Japan, it seems Grapple and Soundbarrier will be exclusives since they are designated by and EX instead of an ER in their name. The release date for these in Japan is the last day of April 2020. These images come from Dengeki Hobby.

The identical Hasbro releases should be out soon within the new year. There is of course the final wave of Siege to see on shelves first. All of these Earthrise figures have been available on preorder at a myriad of places online like BBTS, TFSource, Entertainment Earth and Amazon, just to name a few. And the prices are the same per size class as they were in Siege.

Interesting. Tying them into the Micromasters, it almost looks like the specific bots are being selected for this line to suit a practical narrative.

This line really looks quite engaging, and the updated G1 styling looks great. I wish I had room to display interconnected bases and such.

I think Soundbarrier (and the inevitable retools of him) is so lazy. Like, he doesn't even transform INTO the shield, he just... wears it on his back. It's like a shellformer, only there's nothing to actually hide the fact that there's a robot underneath.

Still gonna get it, but geez Hastak, get your act together. :HEADHURTS:

The random pic of Hoist with a silver faceplate is odd.

Soundbarrier looks awesome, pending the inevitable con repaint with purple clear plastic which will be a must buy.

Cant wait to see some con baseformers. The lack of weaponizers needs to be addressed on the con side.

I'm right there with you. It isn't like the other weapon battlemasters had amazing transformations or anything, but at least there is a little more than "fold the ramp in 1/2".

I dont think its a silver faceplate but rather the light being reflected from both angled surfaces that make up his faceplate. I am selling a few of my TFs and when I post the pics I take, I realize that this effect happens sometimes.

I agree as well. I noticed it when newsing, there is really not much to the transformation. And it's not a great looking shield.

I still find it so weird that Hoist stills has battle damage paint apps, but no one else in the line does. Definitely looking forward to Grapple though. And oddly, I kind of want a Hot Spot version despite there not being any reason for that to exist...

That's the thing though, they don't need to have a great transformation, they just need to have A transformation. This is basically just Nap-Mode.

(Alright, I'll stop. :p)

It looks like it is only around what ends up as the front of the truck hood, and a little on the top of the front fenders. That's not battle damage, its bug guts. :-D

A few things to note from these pics. First off, Grapple now seems to have yellow eyes (or perhaps they're just painted over in the same white as the rest of the face? It's hard to tell, honestly).

More importantly, this Optimus Prime is a complete mess. We're back to the look with the gray hands, yellow eyes, and unpainted cod piece. That means we should be seeing the version of the trailer with no blue plastic, because the hands are allegedly gang molded to the trailer parts. However, the trailer has the blue plastic parts like it did in the initial Hasbro renders, meaning the hands on Prime should be blue, but they're not! Furthermore, it looks like the bicep pieces are gang molded to the trailer too. They're ALSO blue on the robot mode! They've shown up as gray in all other stock photography and renders before. Did Takara mix and match different test shots of the figure for their stock photos? That still wouldn't explain the blue biceps and gray hands, though. Both should be one color plastic or the other.

The play feature for Earthrise is ramps.
The alternate mode of Battle Masters is ramps.

There's ... not a whole lot they could do. If you split the ramp parts up into smaller panels, you're certainly going to weaken the connection points that allow you to combine different ramps together, or even affect the tolerances within a single ramp when weight is applied.

I mean, yeah, it's lazy, but it's effective. Most Battle Masters are just parts packs, and I want functioning parts. If Soundbarrier worked better as a robot toy but didn't work well as a ramp, that would be a net failure.

I'm not really excited about EarthRise. I'm just getting bored with the same characters over and over.
