Hasbro would beg to differ, having chosen "Seek and Destroy" by Metallica for Megs' theme song in the Hall of Fame. ;)

seek and destroy wasn't part of any transformers movie or show, as far as i know metallica had nothing to do with anything transformers :???:
See the bolded part.

Good lord, it looks like he has a million little tabs and twists in that Transformation! I bet you could put Transformers the Movie on in the background when you begin to transform him & he would be Galvatron in the movie before you finish.

But in all seriousness, I will keep him in robot mode most of the time when I pick one up & that mode looks awesome.

Wow, everyone is shook up by the transformation.

Intervention

Buy yourself a TFC Megatron/Encore.(With pellet firing mechanism of course)

Keep in gun mode.

Keep MP 36 in Robot mode

Play with your imagination recreating the scenes in the show/movie

When time to transform, use the original toy.

Results? Save you the heartbreak and mental breakdown of breaking your figure.

You can use the MP-13 Megatron-gun.

But Transformers need to be transformed. ;)

Maybe it'll be easier after some practice.

Any one else notice that the reviewer had to straighten the gun barrel? I seen to remember that one of the original qc issues was that the barrel wouldn't stay staight.

It still isn't part of any G1 transformers soundtrack, Metallic wouldn't have gone with the current theme of the video seeing is how everything chosen to play is from the movie or show, just sayin!

The transformation really doesn't look too much fun :( but there's still a lot of clever stuff going on, especially in the legs. All in all he might not be the perfect Megatron, but I personally think that he's still beats all the other available options

This one is longer for sure and with more parts count. Appolyon just replicates the MP05 transformation with less frustration.

Oof. Got around to watching this last night. It's hard to say exactly where I lost my mind, whether it was the arm panels, the feet unfolding into tentacles of doom, or the thighs magically collapsing in on themselves.

I'm no engineer so I don't really have a behind-the-scenes view but I'm constantly surprised by how much work there needs to be to turn a robot that has so many parts that are obviously gun pieces even in his character model into a gun.

In all honesty though this figure looks amazing, and the price tag is a lot more understandable considering the sheer amount of moving parts in play. Aside from that slightly awkward backpack it's an amazing representation of both modes. And it'll hardly be the only figure I own that requires a real run-up to transform. At least from this video it doesn't look like any of the parts try to overlap each other during transformation which is more than can be said for MP-05.

(my only beef is that it doesn't come with a tiny Soundwave tape deck. Way to not return the favour Megs! I guess my WST Soundwave is gonna be pulling multiple shifts)

yeah, it keeps baffling me too. I guess the aim for just the right proportions is what adds all the complexity.

I don't hate anyone enough that I'd wish a third-hand MP-05 on them. I'm pretty sure I got tetanus just from holding it.

I own some figures that are 3+ hand figures.

Give me a whirl, what's this one look like?

In all seriousness I'mma hold onto this guy at least until I have MP-36 in hand. Then we'll see.

Sounds good to me.

It would be really cool if you actually timed yourself transforming the pair. I'd be interested to see the comparison :D

I think he didn't have it pegged in properly. There were several jump cuts where he had to push things together off camera.

Don't you know by your actions you are setting the chain of events that will lead him into becoming the bat sh*t crazy new Emperor of Destruction Galvatron?

I must go back in time to stop you

Btw, for those interested to know, 2nd/3rd hand MP05 (I am assuming these are the 2nd release) costs around $135.00 to $200.00 (15,000Y to 22,000Y in Japan. Not including shipping and, well depending how strict your country is with these type of products requiring that orange gun cap.)The lowest grade costs around 8,000Y = $ 80.00+

Mind you, these items in the 2ndary market are either MISB or already been handled so buyer beware.
