That's actually the Bomb-burst retool of Skullgrin's decoy armor.

"but with Smokecreen's,"
With Smokescreen's what? :P

Out of these 2 I especially like Ratchet. Not sure if I'll go for Bluestreak or get the Universe version (which may well drop in price now). Still, Bluestreak's nice. And thank you for pointing out the actual origin of his name, Will. That said, back in the eighties they probably did plan to use the blue-sided deco originally if the sticker map and boxart are any indication, but for whatever reason they went with the black-hooded deco instead. Or the cartoon did, anyway, while the toy changed the hood from black to silver because dot dot dot question mark.

As for Soundwave, I'm glad they didn't do the boom box mode, it just wouldn't have made sense in a pre earth setting (doing a toyline on 80s based alt modes? Knock yourselves out) I do like his ship mode but it definitely feels like they were just messing around in not mode to come up with something that could move.

thats a titanmaster from titans return, it was a lion that turned into a shield

Well, more accurately its said Titan Master's vehicle accessory.

I see, thanks for the info you two! Must have missed that one.

They dropped the ball by not making a Weaponizer Leobreak. Also there's the fact a Weaponizer lion could have been retooled into Victory Leo.

I'm not sure that would really work. He'd probably have to be a voyager (a voyager weaponizer would be awesome) and that would be okay but I'm not sure it would work to just retool one into the other. When it comes to lion-bots Leobreaker is among the most conventional of beast transformation schemes while Victory Leo uses a very different one, especially in regards to the lion head. That and I will contest to this day that what Victory Leo turns in to looks nothing like a lion.

Yes, I'm well aware of that but let's not forget Hasbro has often done some really, really weird retools which disregard the look/transformation scheme of a character before. All I'm saying is that a lion-themed Weaponizer happen to have basis in two characters, both associated with a guy who would make a good Leader-class toy in this trilogy who would make good use of getting another dude plugged on to them as some wonky power up. Of these two guys, one already exist in toy form for said line (Galaxy Convoy) and the other is a hypothetical figure which both the fanbase and Hasbro have talked about extensively who has never manifested in CHUG form.

All I'm saying is a Victory Leo Weaponizer retool into some crude approximation of Leobreak would be nice especially if one thing you can do with him is stick most of the bulk on a figure's arm to make a bigass claw much like how Sixgun has the hand mode. As for Voyager weaponizers it would definitely break the trend of what Hasbro has done with them so far but not be implausible since I already established there is a decent enough roster of UT-era guys who would make good larger weaponizers: Leobreaker, Overload and Wing Saber coming to mind. Possibly Tidal Wave too and the aformentionned Victory Leo being a G1 example, in his case even having the 'boots' setup all Weaponizers have.

Honestly you can make the point that Weaponizers are a more 'universal' version of what Godbomber and Victory Leo started, which is to say a 'magic mushroom' character who exist primarily to break apart into weapon parts to stick on someone else.

They repainted Leobreaker into Lio Convoy, which didn't make sense other than both being Lions, and even Orion Pax into Lio Convoy. The thing I liked was how the head became a shoulder for Lio Convoy, but all the retools/repaints took that away. So pretty much as long as they vaguely resemble something, sort of, maybe not, Hasbro is happy to slap the name on there. I don't think a weaponizer Leobreaker/Victory Leo would be too much out of the question. And like we always say: "scale? What is scale?"

Personally I'm fine with 'rough scaling' via mass retail size classes. This is why I waited for a Voyager Soundwave to come along. >:oP

I haven't kept up with the SIEGE thread lately so I'm just going to ask -- do Refraktor & Brunt have a release date yet?

Wave 3 is being shipped out right now it seems, some reviewers already have the Deluxes and Micromasters in-hand. Expect the brick-and-mortar stores to have them in a few more months... if they're actually up to date.

You know, while we're having fun talking about Leobreaker as a Weaponizer, What if...? they went Unicron Armor?!

Who could they turn into a Weaponizer? I say Unicronus Minor
Image

Then you can arm up Siege Megatron and have him look like some approximation of this:
Image

Ah I know they're not going to go this route, but it's funny how the modularity of the 5mm pegs everywhere gimmick gets my imagination working.

You know in all reality the gimmick is hey everyone we've cored and bored out more plastic than ever before, then we take that plastic and make little guns and fire effects with them and then you buy that separately

And while we're at it I'm sure this has already been pointed out but this guy's got to be on his way down the line...

I would love to see them take the opportunity with Fasttrack to really have him integrate well with whatever Scorponok ends up being. Like have his component pieces be great guns but can also double as towers or repair equipment, something like that.

Hmm, I wonder if they'll just retool Omega Supreme for him.

I was looking at my Trypticon for the longest time just at his torso and wondering if there was any way they'd end up repurposing that for a future Titan and I can see a little Scorpy in there.

Hahaha and sadly, saaaadly….I'd probably buy that too! I mean shoot, if they do some kind of Armada Optimus tribute like we've seen images for from Takara but like just for Siege or Annihilation or whatever we want to call it? Yeah, I'd likely be ponying up for that too.

That's awesome. I love how huge it is, it's like a kid on a crutch made for an adult he's all listing to the side. Because he's weighted down. With awesomeness.
