In that video, you can clearly see that the shoulder joint in bot mode shows the teeth. So this pretty much means all Ironhide figures (not matter if it's direct from Takara Japan or Hasbro Asia) has the joint teeth showing on top in bot mode.

This contradicts the grey unpainted prototype model that was shown at conventions and also the painted prototype also shown at some conventions. It also contradicts the official promo photos. And it also contradicts the promotional photos and final production version of MP-30 Ratchet.

So with that many contradictions, I would presume that the error was made in the assembly of Ironhide.

The whole lot then. Sneaky TT not checking their QC. Maybe we should tweet this to TfYuki?

You can say that as many times as you want, wont change the fact that they are labelled L and R and are in the right place. Could be they changed the aseembly when they realized it would work better for the alt mode.

But then why would they revert it for Ratchet? Seems a lot of effort to change the assembly for Ironhide and then forget about it for Ratchet. I guess unless Takara formally says something about it, we'll never know.

Agreed
And as for your point n Ratchet, it could be for them to look a bit more different.

Just got my Ratchet in today and he doesn't hold together in alt mode very well compared to Ironhide. Might have to consider switching Ratchet to match Ironhide.

What you mean does not hold well together? Is that bad?

Also from site sponsor TFSource we receive news of a Takara Tomy Transformers Masterpiece reissue, and it's fairly close to the first release of the figure: MP-27 Ironhide! Even with MP30 Ratchet only just hitting shelves (collectors'), it looks like the market wanted more, and Takara said yes. The reissue is expected to arrive September 2016.

Freshen your memory of the old codger by browsing through the Seibertron.com galleries, here!

TRU Australia are the only nation-wide stores that stock TakaraTomy Masterpieces. You won't find them in other nation-wide retailers. You might find them in small individual pop culture stores.

While you are importing, why not import from a seller who has better shipping?

The prices are the same at Amiami http://www.amiami.com/top/detail/detail ... agecnt%3D1
But the shipping is 10$ less for ironhide. Shockwave only cost 15$ to ship

Never had a problem with RK, rarely a problem with eBay. AmiAmi runs out of stock way quicker. Partly because they're a "hobby" (model kits, etc) store, not a "toy" store. Try and buy MP-19, MP-21G, MP-22, MP-23, MP-24 or any of the MP-18 variants from them today.

And for the record, it was a simple demonstration of shopping anywhere else but TRU. eToysJapan MP-27: $US71.44 + $US16.67 shipping. FiguresDirect.com.au, even.

They only carry whats new. And I thought this discussion was triggered by the fact that Ironhide was getting reissued, which they would carry (and they still have Ironhide in stock anyways).

Fellow Seibertronians, as a follow up to our article on the reissue of MP-27 Ironhide, which can be found here, we bring you news of another reissue of MP-27 Ironhide, but this time he includes a new accessory in the form of a large, possibly hand held drill weapon. The pre-order page can be found at bbts here and at TFSource here, he is due to arrive in September along with the normal reissue of MP-27. The new accessory can be seen below; so are you interested in this new accessory? Let us know in the comments below.

Well, this is a slap in the face to everyone who faithfully bought Ironhide on his initial release. I could understand if this reissue were released a few years after the initial release with some improvements, either to the deco or engineering or sculpt include, with a bonus accessory to entice you to double dip if you bought the earlier iteration. I hope Takara finds a way to make the accessory available to collectors who already have MP Ironhide.
