Gotcha... Doesn't seem worth an extra $88 bucks to me for that... but to each their own ;)

What about the Takara MP-10? I see BBTS has Takara MP10 in stock for $189.... and '3rd run' Mp-10 Takara preorder for $219??? What's the difference between those... they're using the same advertising pictures.

Old stocks are the cheaper ones. The new one takes into account the change in the fx currency, adjusted costs etc.

Also got myself a coronation Starcream from Amiami. Shoulder issues and all...... 8-}

The difference is that the cheaper one was bought from the supplier back when the $US was stronger against the yen. That is all. But we are just seeing these discrepencies because we are looking at secondary sellers who sell in USD. Like if you go on e-bay or amazon marketplace and see a bunch of primes and soundwaves for different prices, but at a much smaller scale.

In the market these were made for, Japan, its more like a restock at the same price. And the Soundwave with all the casettes together isnt sold in Japan so their only option is the one that comes with Laserbeak with the other casettes bought seperately.

It had to HAPPEN! KO Ironhide! :HEADHURTS: That's what vendors call them KOs now.."re-issues". Anyway for those afraid to mod their official versions, KO IH is now available.

A question on Coronation Starscream. I'm going to get one next year. I've heard he's got the issue similar to Legends Blitzwing's shoulder syndrome. My original Hb MP 'screamer had no issue when I swing the arms up. Is it as really as bad as Blitzwing?

I only have Acidstorm and sunstorm versions of the mold for now but both of them have shoulder issues where I can't move their arms without the torso lifting up. It's annoying but manageable.

Major bummer! Thanks for the response though.

Yeah I noticed the KO Ironhide came up the other day when I was buying a KO Hot Rod MP.

I'm actively searching for the KO's though as the build quality is better (as crazy as that seems to say that - it seems to be true a lot of the time).

I've also noticed a few Shockwaves have shown up again so I don't know if that is indiciative of anything like more rejects comming through - or even some pre-samples for a Takara or Hasbro Asia restock.

I had to prioritize getting either MP Shockwave or the Asia reissue of MP Soundwave (+5 cassettes).....I chose Soundwave for the pure value....since I love his G1 incarnation and character, as well as all the tapes.

But damn, Shockwave looks so good! I figure Soundwave will only get more expensive to find if I wait...can someone reassure me? :HEADHURTS:

Soundwave (with 5 casettes) was ridiculously expensive until this reissue came out. I suggest you get Soundwave instead. there is much more value there than for Shockwave. And in any case, Shockwave can always get reissued.

I agree. Also if your not as picky, there are 3rd party Shockwaves out just to give you some options. To my knowledge there were no decent Soundwave options OTHER then the $250-$350 Soundwave.

Regardless, I made the same choice you did. Soundwave +5 all the way!

Thanks, guys - I do think that the 3rd party Shockwaves look sweet as well, and like william-james88 said, there's always the reissue (like we are finally getting for Soundwave!) to look forward to if I miss the boat. :CON:

Hope no one minds me quoting such an old post, but I didn't see anything more recent. So I ordered the Hasbro Asia Reissue of MP OP from BBTS earlier this year, and only opened it last night. The figure is awesome, but I did notice a few minor annoyances.

1) When I store the gun in the figure's back, that compartment does not fully close. It doesn't latch on to what it needs to securely enough.
2) In truck mode, the legs do not tab together at all. It's still close enough that I can easily put the trailer onto it at least.

Just curious if these are well known issues with the figure? After a quick online search, it appears to be. Also, are there any easy fixes? I can live with these issues, but if there's an easy fix, I'd like to give it a try.

Also, the absolute worst part of the whole thing is the packaging. It has to be my least favorite packaging for any item I've ever purchased in my life.

I hear you, that packaging looks like the kind meant to be thrown away (which is what I did). And yup those problems are found on mine as well. Also, yours probably has leftover sprue marks around his legs, which is something you dont find on the Takara version (and I dont know if shaving or sanding them out ameliorates anything locking). For MPs, I try not to fix em if I can live with little things like this since messing up can be very costly.

Yea, I probably won't touch the figure and leave it as is. When in bot mode, the gun will be held. And in truck mode, everything squishes in tight, so the gun compartment isn't a huge issue. The legs not tabbing though annoying, at least isn't noticeable with the trailer connected.

I'm not sure what to do yet with the packaging. While I prefer a regular box, it did look cool with everything inside. Maybe that's why I didn't open it right away. I don't have a lot of MPs, and have held onto the boxes. I haven't thrown this one away yet, but I'm leaning toward it.

Did anyone get the most recent reissue of MP-10 (the one with the "Life Long Design" logo one the box)?

Wouldn't it be a late present? It comes out in January and you won't have to pay for it until then.
