I hadn't gotten any of these yet. until recently i've been tempted. i plan to get two or three for my birthday this weekend.assuming i can find lockdown.

so far i hadn't seen him in my target. and i really wanna get that guy. i'm also gonna take a crack at prime and grimlock. drift and bumblebee look really nice as well. and i read somewhere we're gonna get a strafe?! http://www.tfw2005.com/resources/aoe-fl ... hid=665499

wow. i also notice (and correct me if i'm wrong) target's silver knight flip and change optimus prime has a different head sculpt??

anyway, i know these toys aren't a collector's cup of tea. but i do wonder if there are some collectors who are growing a liking to these? so i thought i create a thread to discuss and show pictures of these huge guys. for 19:99 these are pretty cool. better because target has a sale, and i'm itchin' to go hunt.
i have to wonder if this concept will continue? i hope so. if its only for the movie, i hope to god we get a hound. be nice as hell if hasbro can expand the line with a megatron or starscream. :-? a fan can dream...

so...let's get the discussion train going! :KREMZEEK:

OK, I will start by admitting I'm actually intrigued by these toys.

I agree they're not for everyone: they're too simple, too insulting to their "superior intellect". Guess what, I don't care. [-( Toys are meant to be fun, and different toys are fun in different ways. The Flip & Change Grimlock is big, has a cool look to him and his gimmick looks fun to execute. Better yet, I have an excuse of getting him because I have a nephew who's into Transformers and the Flip/Smash & Change toys fit the bill nicely my wife and I think.

By the by, in the other lines, I'm eyeing the 1-step Grimlock and Power Attacker Swoop, but the prices here are a bit steep (what else is new):

1-Step Changers: €15.99
Power Attackers: €22.99
Flip & Change: €29.99

Dino Sparkers: €21.99
Titan Heroes: €17.99

O hell, let me put up the local Generations pricing as well:

Deluxe Class: €25.99
Voyager Class: €42.99

Me too, I got Smash and Change Optimus for Father's Day, and he's quite loaded with details, even if he has only basic paint apps and no leg articulation at all. Fun to mess with and a nice big truck mode. I'm painting some details in, starting to look better.

I ordered F/C Drift from HTS, I love the Veyron and it's a really nice alt mode, despite the big hinges sticking out on the sides. Similarly, I'll get Lockdown when I see him again- I saw one of him at a Target in Schaumburg, IL, a couple weeks ago, but none since.

Might even get the Grimlock once I have more of the mainline stuff, he looks pretty good too.

I bought the Flip and Change Grimlock, and honestly, it doesn't impress me.

Now the One-Step Changer Grimlock, that's a whole other story. It's surprisingly complex and well-engineered for a little autotransforming figure, and it's pretty neat seeing the pieces fold into place.

Where are you seeing the generations toys? All the rest I've found and I couldn't give a crap about them.

They seem to be exclusive to ToysXL for the time being, but Bart Smit has advertised the Voyagers in their flyers.
