Error, plain and simple. Hasbro's site says the same thing.

Well, technically, he's not a Decepticon. He could gain sentience by the end (if he's not destroyed) and become an Autobot. I know, Wheelie's chance in a smelting pool...

I'd give that the same odds as well. Isn't it amazing though, that we are just a few days from a US release date, and we still only know enough snippets of the plot to still not completely dismiss this?
