I was never in love with the show. I liked a lot of the figures, so I bought them. I'd rather have room for more G1, Generations, and Masterpiece figures though. Just a random thought.

Do it.

They are fetching good prices now.

Think twice about it. A few years ago, right after the Dark of the Moon toyline fizzled out at retail, I sold off my movie toys collection to recoup some money. Now, I regret selling them off and am trying to rebuild my live-action movie collection of figures, paying more than I did originally at retail in many cases.

I've been contemplating it for a long time. This will actually make it easier to buy Masterpiece figures and a few more Generations figures.

I sold a load of my Animated figures as I was more into the Generation style. I regret it. I miss the Dinobots and Jazz. I did keep Lockdown and the leaders though.

Counterpoint: you're rebuilding your movie collection because subsequent movies made you realize how much you liked the figures. With the promise of new movies in the years ahead, the feelings of movie figures' relevancy will remain.

Animated is gone, and it isn't coming back... so it's not like the relevancy of those figures will be revived. That connection is a fleeting one.

That is very true. Like G1 or Classics, the movies are now establishing themselves as a "timeless" iteration of the Transformers brand (for better or worse), making them that much more collectible. I sold off my Masters of the Universe 200X figures about a year or two after the MOTU Classics line started for similar reasons. I thought Prime was going to be another such branch of the Transformers franchise, but I'm having a LOT of doubts about this, even with the promise of a continuation series in "Robots in Disguise." Anyone looking for an entire lot of Prime toys, lol?

Animated figures arent worth that much. Maybe sell of the one you dont like and keep your favorites?

Anyway, good luck with selling.
