Question about re-release MP Grimlock

I was wondering if anyone has been having issues with loose joints with the re-released MP Grimlock or if mine is simply defective. The joint where the leg meets the hip is really loose, to the point where he can't stand when placed in a dynamic pose (or, really, any pose that doesn't involve his legs directly beneath him either - a la: a short stance straddle or general standing position).

I was trilled to death to find him this afternoon, but now I'm kind of disappointing and wanted to know if this is standard for the figure (at which point it's not worth exchanging).... or if there's a possible way to fix it :/

So - what's your location? You should def post in the sightings thread to help others out! :D

Also, those loose hips are fairly common; I've seen it reported by folks who have it in-hand, as well as in reviews. I think it may be a universal issue.

Bah! I was afraid of that. Was able to tighten it a hair with a screw driver, but it's not enough. Ah well.

Lol. Didn't even think of posting in the sightings thread. Will go ahead a do that since the store had 2 or 3 others.

My understanding is this is only an issue with the re-release. I've had the original for years and there is still no looseness. Here's hoping the King Grimlock re-release won't suffer these new QC issues.

I have both the Hasbro & Takara originals as well. No issues.

The Asia Reissue is somewhat looser than the Takara & Hasbro originals, and has some issues with mold flash/chrome damage due to less careful assembly. But the TRU reissue is far worse on the joints front.

Echoing mooncake in hoping the King Grimlock reissue is better made, or at least better controlled for tolerance. Since it's a Takara product and not a Hasbro or Hasbro Asia reissue, I'm somewhat reassured...
