Well, Nightstick at least has the Universe toy and its bazillion redecoes. Poor Fracas however has only had a PCC Chainclaw redeco.

But hey, maybe Fracas will be one of the Battlemasters for War for Cybertron: Armageddon.

That mold actually pulls double duty, thanks to some very confusing switcharoos. The long and the short of it is that Nightstick was named Nebulon (the name on TM Scourge's box, Fracas partner) in Japan, and Fracas was named Nightstick. As such...

I guess it's only fitting that that mold pulls double duty, since it's kinda a Fracas-Nightstick amalgamation.

Am I the only one who puts Prime Masters in Godbomber's chest?

On the subject of Targetmasters... I think that the Legends releases of Doublecross, TR Windblade, Topspin, and Twin Twist are, shall we say, partial-donkeyed. I say that because they _only_ come with the borrowed Targetmaster partners, leaving them unarmed when said partners are claimed by the matching Targetmasters. Well, Windblade has a sword at least, but it's not one of the swords actually designed for her body. And doesn't do anything for the new Headmaster play ecosystem. Mind you, Slugslinger, Misfire, and Triggerhappy also have the latter problem, but at least the one weapon they do come with is truly meant for them.

All of my Prime Masters are on the Throne and the Sceptor of the Primes, that's where I wanted them.

For me, Godbombers chest holds his titan master, but that's it. The rest have some places to go

I've got Shuta, Cab, and Minerva inside that chest, like in the show. Godbomber's little Headmaster is instead set inside the storage cavity of God Ginrai's shoulder cannon.

Though, I've also got something else even deeper inside Super Ginrai's chest cavity beneath the Godbomber chest. It's a little translucent glow-in-the-dark figurine of some sort of anthropomorphic lizard thing. I have no idea what it is or what it's supposed to be from, but it came packaged with a Big Lots KO of Beast Wars Transmetal 2 Megatron that I also have. I placed this lizard figure inside of Super Ginrai's chest to serve as his Getmaster from which Ginrai may be able to channel Beast Power, so as to fully let my God Ginrai toy function as a Triplemaster.

Ugh, the "Getmaster" thing is one of the dumbest bits from the Legends manga... The "'Get on" from the Masterforce theme seems to me to be an obvious contraction of "Target on!" True, the 1988 Targetmasters wound up not getting a Masterforce release, but that doesn't mean one can't have been planned. Especially early-on, when they had such high hopes for the Pretenders.

But the whole point of the Masterforce series was ordinary humans becoming giant Transformers and vice-versa. The Targetmaster toys don't work like that since the little gun guys and the larger vehicle guys are, functionally-speaking, completely autonomous from each other. As in, the guns aren't integral to the larger figures at all, whereas both the Headmaster and Powermaster/Godmaster toys were designed to require their smaller figures to achieve their proper robot modes. The idea of "Targetmaster Juniors" wouldn't make sense in the context of Masterforce since there would be no reason for a guy who turns into a gun to be necessary for a larger Transformer to properly function in robot mode since the larger TF could just let go of the gun and still be its own person.

They would have found some way to work it in had Takara decided to release the 1988 Targetmasters - possibly their guns being Masterian rather than humans. Not everybody in Masterforce fits the "Humans" theme - just look at Sixknight.
And what other explanation contemporary with the show can you think of for the "'Get on" lyric?

Hence why he was only a minor character guest star.

Simple, it's Engrish. Japanese G1 songs were full of things like that. Even songs of other anime series (both back then and even to this day) use Engrish phrases like that because it sounds cool to the Japanese.

Recently, I've seen a flood of sellers from China on eBay selling the LG-EX Big Powered set for seemingly less than most retailers. Anywhere from $90-$120 US and some claim free shipping.

Now of course this raises all sorts of read flags. I've read many descriptions stating that these are *Official :TAKARATOMY: product*, but then again there's all sorts of additional disclaimers about not guaranteeing the condition, and no refunds etc...

I'm always looking for a good deal. I've taken risks before, and come out OK, but I really don't want to get ripped off especially with something like this.

Just curious if anyone else is aware of this, and if they have had experiences good, bad or otherwise. Thank You.

basically just searching Transformers Legends Big Powered on eBay. yes, the cheapest one I see right now at this moment is $118.99 (in the range I described above), but I had seen some in the past few days that ended which were 90, 100, 105 etc....

Even at $119, That is still better than the $160 BBTS is asking, I just want to make sure it is legit product, and no a KO or damaged/incomplete item.

I don't really have any experience in that area, but I would not go for it. It's a bit too good to be true for my liking

Hey guys,

i didn't understand where come from the head with the smaller neck, in the fist pic, it has not even the part of the legs of the headmaster, isn't the one in the LG 44 package, where comes from the head?

:)

That's because that news article - which is from 2017 - is connected to this thread. Most newsposts are linked to forum threads.

Yes, that Sweep head is the one that comes with LG44.

Now that this thread has been dug up, I have some questions about the LGEX God Ginrai giftset.
First, I heard there were changes made to Ginrai's legs to make them tab together more sturdily. Is that true?
Second, were Ginrai's loose-aft fist holes tightened up for that set?

Just the ankles were retooled for a more secure fit, plus Godbomber has improved tolerances (i.e. the joints are stronger/tighter).

But Ginrai's fist holes are just as loose as ever, then?

Are there any good pics of the ankle retool?

My guess is that it's some 3D-printed accessory that's basically a slimmer head w/ collar without the face, so you can take the faceplate off the headmaster and screw it onto the new head.

So... I just received in the mail Legends Twintwist. Initially it was something I had no interest in, but now I find it servers a twofold purpose.

I'm kind of glad now that the TR version was never properly released in the US, or I might have actually bought it on impulse. I know these are expensive on the secondary market, but I got a good deal from a seller in Australia, the only problem is it took almost 2 months to get here...but it was worth it for the price, and shipping was surprisingly not bad (probably why it took 2 months) .

These are great toys, and I love the new way TT designed the Target Masters. I can see why shortly after, Hasbro & TT went into development to take things one step further with battle masters, but these are especially unique now because they are not from the original series, and not part of the newer Generations line, so they will always be this little oddity that TT felt compelled to make, and I'm happy to have 1 of them (soon to be 2 with Topspin).

Twintwist was my very first TF back in 85. I was into MOTU, and while I watched TF on TV, I wasn't into the toys mostly because my parents said they cost too much money. A friend bought me Twin Twist however, arguably one of the cheapest TF's of the time, But I still thought it was cool.

Now I have the modern version. He and Topspin however will also go well with the Big Powered set (I plan to get eventually, hopefully if BBTS has a sale, or if stock becomes low I may just pull the trigger and get it). The Manga pics of the combined mode definitely sold me on something I never initially wanted, but brings my collecting full circle 35 years later ;)^
