Whats with the battery of the soundbox? It's lasted since 1992, and still doesn't sound like Cullen. It doesn't have a half-life does it? =P

Well 92 is a quite a long time ago (15 years), and you have to remember that the electronics may have degraded somewhat, so the sound may have become distorted, also the technology used to record voice and put it onto a circuit back then may not have been as effective as it is today (so to speak).

Or it may not have been Cullen's voice on there to begin with!

That's all fine, but damnitmikey talked about how oddly long the batteries seem to last.

My bad. My question really was why the battery lasts so long. Just joking about the voice haha.

It seems my Starscream/Skywarp/whichever jet I had soundbox has long been dead, while Prime's works fine still.

I have a Gobot Command Center that's still warning long destroyed gobots [ironically] of danger on it's original 9 volt battery.

So remember, whether its creating parent-annoying buzzes, or warning second string galactic defenders of Renegade attacks, the brand to trust... is Duracell.

Optimus still has the truck rumbling, the laser blasts and saying "I am Optimus Prime!". I guess your right. Duracell is Transformers secondary fuel.

Anyway, the only thing i have with the batteries still working is an old Mexican knockoff He-Man role play sword with a sound chip and a tiny led. The Sword still lights up, and shouts "By the Power of Greyskull... I have the power" in spanish no less.

Its really funny to listen to and it still works. I've never really figured where the batteries are stored. I'm guessing in the hilt. but there's just no panel or opening. But hey it still works.


I also have a Thundercats Role play sword, with the light up eye of Thundera. That one is not a knockoff, and the hilt unscrews to place in a double A battery. I think I changed that battery a few years ago.

The next duracell ad will be not a bunny running on batteries but Transformers battling, the G2 win cos they have Duracell and the Armada lose cos they have crap batteries.

Sadly my G2 battel Prime (who's busted beond repair) has no light going onanymore

They really should! My Prime isn't busted, but I have misplaced his trailer and hands. Too bad he didn't come with an energy axe
