There's only one choice: FoC Jazz - one of the worst molds produced in the last 5 years or more. An abomination that appears to have been designed by a summer intern as an exercise and somehow went to production by mistake.

Oh,that mold.I really detest that mold and I had to give it to one of my friends (He collects Jazz toys) to get rid of it.

Is it really that bad? I've got Sideswipe hanging around here somewhere, is it worth opening just for the gun?

I really am not a fan of Shockwave. He feels really cheap, unimposing and uninventive when it comes to the transformation. I also dislike his weapon, it keeps falling apart. What I dislike the most is how he is a key character and pretty much what we are getting for a "classics" shockwave, which is just sad. His articulation leaves a lot to be desired too. But he looks ok in robot mode on a shelf with the other FOC figures. It's when you have him in your hands that you see all the flaws.

And for the life of me I do not get the point fo Sideswipe (or Jazz) and his fake wheels. They serve no point to the figure.

Can we delve back in time a little to include Universe 2.0? You know their more or less in the same category:

Universe 2.0 Ironhide. The inability to look straight ahead is very annoying, specially when all they had to do was make his head on a ball joint. The piecemeal alt. mode doesn't help either. Ironhide should have had a better update.

Universe 2.0 Dinobot: Odd color scheme is the first dislike, though the Takara version fixes that. However, the mold has a couple other problems. The arms sticking out so prominently in beast mode is a bit of an eyesore to me. Then there's the weapons, with a terrible club molded in clear red plastic and a rotate blade that no longer rotates. Shame really, as all it would take to improve the figure is a minor arm remold and new tail/weapon.

I think many would agree that Beast Hunters Shockwave (without the red armor bits) makes for a better stand-in as "classic" Shockwave.

Still like that one better than FOC OP, especially after WFC OP. Put those two side by side and it's like they're not even from the same toyline.

The SDCC version is even better for classics, yellow eye and all

ill agree FOC jazz is one of the worst. but heres two others...

im surprised no one mentioned IDW bumblebee. he might not be the worst figure, but i havent been SO let down by a figure in a long time. people might disagree with me, but he felt cheaper than FOC shockwave in my opinion. he looked so good in the reveals, but in hand was a huge disappointment. and those guns? are they even guns?

the second, is whirl. he looked good in bot mode (i know many were upset it wasnt IDW whirl though) and the alt mode was weak. not awful, but weak. i want to like him, but i cant like a toy that i cant play with! those knees! im so terrified of breaking them that i havent even transformed him once! im really hoping that someone reviews cloud shockwave or takaras whirl and says those knees are fixed.

Generations?

People will probably crucify me, but I hate the Wreck-Gar mold. Mine fell apart right out of the package and broke when I tried to transform it. Definitely put the "junk" in Junkion. :BANG_HEAD:

Just curious, what part broke?

I like Wreck-Gar myself, but the figure does have a couple problems. The transformation is overly complex, or at least fidgety, particularly the legs/pelvis/seat part where things have to be lined up juuust so in order to fit properly...and then sometimes it doesn't lock securely. And the weapon is too wide for the open hands, stressing them and leaving a scary looking stress mark. And the plastic around the hinge that holds the handlebars on could have some weak plastic, as mine did snap off there. I was able to repair it, but I do transform him(and Junkheap) carefully.

So why am I defending a figure that obviously should have had a little more quality control put into it? I like the overall look of robot mode too much, and it captures the spirit of the character.

WFC Bumblebee. With his stupid little chicken legs and his fat body, he's both ridiculous looking and a pain to pose. And he sucks to transform.

People complain about FOC Jazz, but at least he's to scale with the other WFC and FOC figures. WFC Bumblebee can't even say that, he's the same height as WFC Optimus.

I would also pick Bumblebee as my least favourite generations. In terms of design and looks, I quite dislike the color, keeping aside its great looks when transforming into a beetle. Bee's packaged in robot mode, a bit unusual for a Deluxe class figure.

Thread winner right here, folks. And compared to HFTD Jazz it's a quantum leap down in quality all-around.

To me, Jazz has a blocky and boxy car mode that is not aerodynamic

That is a very good mold here.
