What happened to Star Wars Transformers? Are they done or are they going to produce more?

I really want an A-wing and a B-wing.

They sucked and no one bought them. Let us never speak of them again.

Harsh but true, had a few of them and they were pretty poor. Darth Vader Death Star was pretty good and I quite liked the Han and Chewy Millenium Falcon but soon sold them off to make way for classics.

I think they finally had a good idea towards the end when they made a sub-line of small "Legends" size figures, which could have been quite collectible, but then they dropped the whole thing.

:) I know, but I bought them anyway. The Boba Fett Robot is on of the ugliest ever, but the vehicle mode was good. And I sure do like having their vehicle forms in that scale.

It is funny, I don't want Star Wars toys, but a Star Wars Transformer, that fits into my collection and that is fun. I wish someone else had designed them, robot modes usually looked awful and they often fell apart, but the vehicle modes are usually real nice. Some robot modes were decent. Tie Bomber robot mode is pretty awesome.

If they weren't officially canceled then there is still hope. And if they were, then they could always bring them back. A few wiki pages don't say one way or the other. I wonder if they will bring them back for the next Star Wars movie.

Come to think of it I want:
A-wing
Naboo Starfighter
B-wing

It failed because it wasn't a REAL cross-over, instead it just Star Wars characters that transformed into their vehicles.

Had it been Star Wars vehicles that transformed into TF characters with small SW character figures, it would have worked a whole lot better.

Oh yes, THIS!

Megatron as the Imperial main ship.

Bulkhead as the Millenium Falcon.

Bumblebee as an X-Wing.

Optimus Prime as the Rebel mothership.

Unicron as the Death Star.

Starscream as a Star Destroyer.

Vehicon as a Tie Fighter.

Shayt would have been awesome! With better engeneering, less shellforming, limbs that dont detatch at the slightest touch, and more importantly, NO GPS PRONE PLASTICS! (Chewee, why? ;_;)
The best SW Xover figures that they DID make are defenitely Darth Vader Death Star, Darth Maul, and... hum... Okay, the line sucked. Still, I'd like a rebirth, with all the main flaws corrected.

meh, even the more "robotic" characters (General Grievous) looked like robot bodies with flesh heads popped on top of them.

And I was kitbashing **** like that 25 years ago, looked like amateur crap then, the SW designers were suppose to be professional.

Still love my Millennium falcon, GPS free so far, as well as my Yoda.
In agreement that smaller figs were cool but that was mainly because Eric Siebenaler transferred from the Transformers group to the SWars group within Hasbro.
Always wanted a Death Star Vader but never saw it instore and online is a bit too much for it in my opinion.
Had hoped that when Emiliano had gotten involved that the Quad changer Vader/Skywalker was going to be spectacular; unfortunately that did not prove to be correct.

I thought it would be cool if the vehicles transformed into mechs, with the implication that the pilot was still in the cockpit, but now piloting a giant mech.

Isn't that pretty much what we got?

Anyway, I agree with those that wanted stuff like TF characters turning into SW stuff. I don't necessarily agree with the various choices mentioned above. Starscream should totes be an X-Wing, even if that makes no sense from a good guys/bad guys way, but who says they even have to align with the Rebels or Empire, they could just scan whatever for the alt modes and not be involved directly in that war, since they're busy with their own war.

I disagree here. The bad guys must have bad guys vehicles altmode, just for constistency sake's. As for what altmodes to take. it depend of the character and the continuity the whole thing will be inspired from. So, Starscream take a cue from Galaxy Force and change into a Star Destroyer using his Cybertron overall design.

As for the other characetrs, it will need some thoughts.

No, not at all. We got humanoid "bot" modes that tried to look like the characters themselves (or at least some sort of weird automaton version) with humanoid proportions, and that's why they were awful.

Most of the first year did have pilot figures, mind you. as for the bots looking like those pilots... The Force works in mysterious ways.

IIRC, the first year bios also mentioned about them being mechs, but I believe that idea was dropped and moved to the bots being the characters.

Had they come up with designs that didn't look like crap and sometimes feel like cheap crap, it would have worked a whole lot better.
