Wow they look awful. Grimlock and OP Masterpieces look far better than these and probably cost less.

Well, the club needs to get rid of all those extra Machine Wars sets somehow.

Because god forbid they put them on clearance for 1/2 off or anything.

Weird, apparently GoShooter has gone from Headmaster Jr. to Godmaster Jr. What does make sense tho that the former Transtector and Human, despite sporting the same-sounding name are confirmed as separate entities: GoShooter (Transformer) and Gō Shūta (Human).

Why must they make things difficult for wikis?

Just chalk it up to a typo and continue leading a happy life.

-Edit- Goshooter happily continues his carreer of not being in my collection at all with this exclusive.

You didn't know that? I thought it was brought up and discussed before when we got a look at the Goshooter and Shuta bios, or am I misremembering?

It's no typo.

Grimlock and Prime are...okay. They don't seem as bad as everyone is making them out to be, but they still don't transform. Plus, this toyline is probably going to start and end with those three characters, so that's another strike against them.

I cant unsee Astrotrain. I'm not a huge fan of headmasters characters not being actual headmasters either.

He wasn't a Headmaster in the first place, either.

They're not so obscure in Japan, where the poll was commenced.

And only one of them was a poll winner.

So you are saying the G1 mold was retooled without the headmaster gimmick when they repainted it ?

Here we go again:

Shouki: Trainbot Leader, appeared in the Headmasters Cartoon. G1 version was based on the Diaclone Train Robo, so not a Headmaster in the slightest.
GoShooter: Headmaster Jr. from Masterforce, G1 toy was repainted from Headmaster Siren. We have been over this, multiple times!

Headmaster Jrs. and Godmasters are similar in the mystical side of things, differing only in type of Transtector and connection used. He did get a promotion in function: he's a Commander now! :APPLAUSE:

Weren't you just talking about the Astrotrain mold? The character that that toy was redecoed into, Shouki, wasn't a Headmaster.

The other guy, Goshooter, who uses the Bumblebee/Goldfire/Nightbeat mold, was the one who was a Headmaster.

It's a shame, because when I saw Fewture Models were doing TF stuff I thought "Oh goodie! We're gonna get some awesome redesigns like they did with Getter Robo!".

But no. GEEWUN up the wazoo.

Sigh.

I was talking about both figures in the same comment. I was just too lazy to look back for their names.

Well here's the thing. We already have MP Prime and Grimlock, both of whom are nigh-on perfect renditions of the characters. I kinda think we don't need any more "true G1" versions of Grimlock or Prime (especially Prime).

Hot Toys have the hook of the extra accessories, like Starscream's wings or Megatron's cannon. Revoltech has the insane poseability, modular nature and stylized appearance. This guy is...just another Prime. He doesn't have any real allure to him beyond being a faithful G1 OP (which we already have in transforming form down to a tee with MP-10). He doesn't have any unique accessories, a unique style or super articulation by the looks of things.

Also, Fewture Models's Getter Robo updates are damned awesome and I would love to see Transformers done in that style.

The Alpha Trion is cool though. Not gonna argue with that. I would be up for some characters who have almost no representation (Arcee, Shockwave, Reflector perhaps) or some whose only G1-accurate renditions are a bit iffy (Megatron, Rodimus) though. A poseable non-transforming Arcee would be pretty cool TBH, and Megatron really needs some love.
