Last time we saw news about these figures, it was still summer (in the Northern hemisphere), but it looks like ScottyP has finally found a sighting for the Robots in Disguise One Step redecos of Gold Armor Grimlock and Patrol Mode Strongarm in his local Target in Raleigh, NC. Any of you still out on the hunt, now's your chance! Just make sure you drop by the Sightings section and boards too.

Well then. Still haven't seen those warriors yet either. Still barely seeing wave 3 in stores :BOT:

They have these in ASDA in the UK, if that's news to anyone. Had intended to pick one up for my kids when they hit, but they look terrible in person.

It looks like the Warrior Class TRU exclusive repaints have finally started to show up in TRU-Uk stores - I hold out some hope not for finding a 5-Step Megatronus some time too.

Didn't know these were new, saw them about two weeks ago at Target. For a second I was excited and then realized it wasn't the Warrior figure.

Warrior class Optimus Prime's legs

Am I the only one who's noticed that Warrior class Optimus Prime's legs are misassembled? I swapped the thighs on mine and here's how they look (I've also done the arm fix):

Well I'll be! They sure are. Good eye. You are indeed a wise man. :D
Did you have to unpin the panels on his legs to unpin the knees?

The panels on his legs can be pulled off with no problem; it looks like there's a pin there but there isn't. But to get the thighs off at the knees there's a really annoying pin that has to be hammered out. It is not fun.

That's what's mine looks like already...? What did it look like before the fix?

Before the fix it looks like this:

http://www.seibertron.com/transformers- ... /3575/1/2/

Notice how the thighs don't match up to the hips? Look at the outside of his right leg. There's a jagged little shift between the two grey pieces and they don't line up. After the fix they match perfectly.

Is there any consequence to how the truck mode pegs together at all of changing that ? especially the axe storage ?

He transforms with no problems. It doesn't fix the axe storage problem; it's as good as it was before, unfortunately.

OH, now I see it! Yeah, mine are wrong, huh, I would've never noticed, and now I can't unsee it. :P

I think he looks a little bit bow legged with the thighs swapped.
I'd have to compare the look to the other versions and see what looks best in comparison to them to see if I want to make the swap or not.

Not so easy for me to strike pins out now that my pin punch snapped.
Though I have been wondering if the pins come out easier if you hair dryer the plastic a little bit first.

-------

I just got the Overscale RID-15 Strongarm she's quite good if perhaps a little to large (she's bigger than FE Bulkhead even) but if you accept that she's a pretty great toy overall - and certainly enough to make me want to see more of the same made - especially Warrior Optimus.

The only odd thing is the hole on the underside is a bit to small to take her weapon storage and here hands are a bit tight for the gun to hold it in her right hand properly - she holds it better in her left hand.

Because her shoulders are super tight she takes a bit bit of care to Transform with lots of gentle wiggling required - so you can't zip her backwardsa nd forward as easily as Bumblebee, I'd say ee is best as the tolerances just work best on him Grimmy is nice in robot mode but his elbows are crazy tight so I don't even try to move them and his tail is a pain to transform as it's a bit tight. I also had to swap some parts that were assembled incorrectly.

But Grimlock is still the most worthwhile of the 3 Bee and Strongarm are still a good buy though as they are cheap and decent enough quality overall.

If anyone has the Metal ones I'd be curious if there is any differences to what I said. all 3 versions I got were the plastic kind.

Crazybolt... Now that's a name that hasn't been used since Beast Wars Neo, and which has never been used for a Hasbro product before. That makes me smile. :)

"Back" is a bizarre Transformer name. But then again I guess this is the same series that gave us "Ped".

Crazybolt's two designs are so wildly different from each other. I mean, they share a lot of design cues, but the "Starter" is like a crazy overdetailed reimagining of the "Deployer".

Is "Warrior Asia" Grimlock supposed to be based on Voyager class Battle Grimlock from Japan? That's the only Grimlock figure I can think of that actually did the yellow stripes on the arms from the cartoon (or close enough to it). I won't get my hopes up over a western release, but it would be nice. Maybe an exclusive run somewhere like with GDO?

Warrior class is Deluxe class-sized, so not likely.

My guess is maybe the Warrior Asia versions of Bee and Grim could be some forth coming Hasbro Asia Platinum Edition release featuring the Warrior molds.

So they are making a Minicon that turns into a Chainsaw - were they inspired by Shapeways Targetmasters then ?

You know, I'm glad that more animal characters that can turn into vehicles are on the way. But to what animal is Crazybolt is clearly based on? :CON:

The Arms Micron Jida also turns into a chainsaw.
