See for yourselves Image. ImageI bought them before I found out about the re issues though so maybe that's the reason anyway there both new in box except Megatron is MISB and optimus is the Takara version with the trailer

At first I thought they might hsve been fakes but masterpiece Megatron doesn't have a ok version and optimus is in the Takara box with the trailer so no worries there..

Don't know enough about MP-5; but the Prime in that photo is definitely a KO. :\

You can tell by the silver air intake, the silver on his feet, and other small discrepancies. It doesn't come with a trailer either, insofar as I know.

MP 05 did get a KO, but his was smaller. You will know when you get him. Also, if he is MISB, was there an image of the box? Because it seems suspicious. He comes with a ton of accessories so make sure they are included when you get him.

And the Optimus is a KO.

Could you give us a pic of the descriptions to be sure? Because I tried looking both up with their numbers and I could not see either due to legal restrictions.

2009, there were plans for a mini MP-05 KO. Did that push through? Given how the Big me version was an @ss to transform, what more the Mini me? Also, if these are originals, must be damaged (from transforming them by previous owners  ) ones.

Here are some comparisons for you.

Auction pic

MP-10 in tray

MP-10 loose

The biggest difference between the two figures is the silver paint on the feet and the energon axe looks more red than orange. Also the auction pic doesn't show Spike or Roller.

HA! Look at that red energon axe! I hadn't spotted that in the smaller picture.

And the Matrix doesn't match in color either, looks like MP-10B Black Convoy's Matrix with a blue core. The tray layout matches that particular release. :-?

Actually the seller confirmed with a message it does indeed come with a trailer and here a few more pictures interestedly enough lacking the silver.

Even if the optimus is a ko he comes with the Takara box and trailer the differences are small enough that I don't care and in some ways it's better.

There's no pic of the mp 05 box but it's MISB and the same size so I'm not worried.

I guess the toys will be fine, but then I suppose the title doesn't really apply anymore...

There are several other small paint apps differences. And at least one mold difference: the KO hands are less defined.

I wouldn't take the seller's word on the trailer; the box looks smaller (the official one shows the entire trailer.) He might surprise, but I doubt it. Just thought you should have all the information available. There are several comparison videos on Youtube.

Yeah, the silver is still there and the energon axe is still too red. Also, KO masterpieces always have a "takara" box. Here is an e-bay listing where the seller is actually honest and states it is a KO. Does the box look any familiar?

So in the end, the title should be changed because you did not get a "great deal on masterpieces". You bought a KO that had already been taken out of the box (or else he would have written MISB for "Optimus" too). Selling it back on e-bay would give you the same price or less, that is not a great deal. And be very weary, this is not better than the original. It is made in sub-par quality and will break if handled too much.

Yeah nah mate last time I checked ok don't come with trailers and even a ko with a trailer that's a great deal and also we've established that masterpiece Megatron is authentic and still a great deal.

Post pictures when they come in and we will see then because all I see in your picture is an out of box Megatron. That tells me nothing, and we have established that this seller cannot be trusted due to the Optimus. And remember this: when something is too good to be true, it's because it isn't.

Also, I dont think deals qualify when we are speaking of KOs. 66$ spent on a fake Optimus is 66$ too much, and something I surely would not brag about.

First off two different sellers second of all Megatron is listed MISB and there is no KO Megatron available on the market third of all optimus is indeed a good deal as optimus has many improvements from the original and a free trailer for $66 is a great deal.

And I don't believe in the whole if it's too good to be true ideology as the greatest deals I've ever had have been " too good to be true "

So what's the original purpose of the thread again? :???:

You are posting that you got a great deal? I initially understood it was being offered for sale by you so my bad.

Now, the other seibertron members are informing you that the MP-10 is by all means is a 100% genuine fake and you are okay with it. Did I get it right? Anyways, good luck to you and all. Hopefully the quality holds up to the original.

Guys I seriously think this guy is trolling us. Think about it, what was the point of his thread anyway? To brag? Why? It is so odd. Was it just to let us know we are all chumps for paying so much for ours? That's pathetic. And now we are just encouraging him by commenting. He goes back and forth about it not being a fake, then it being a KO and he's ok with it and then going back to saying it is not a fake. His constant denial (ex: refuting photographic evidence) and inconsistent attitude really makes me think this is all a big joke.

So I recommend we stop wasting our time commenting and let this thread die.

Again, to clarify.

The genuine stuff, the box isn't rectangular but slightly squarish on the length side.

The picture fonts on the box is all wrong in its position.

If I was the vendor, even as a reference pic, I'd be using the "correct picture" and not the KO

We are not bashing your purchasing a product on a somewhat "iffy" origin of manufacture. Hey it's your money and "a fool and his gold is soon parted" as the old saying goes.

I got my Tomy version for around $230.00 (includes shipping and taxes). An astute businessman would not sell a Picasso at a loss if you know what I mean.

Good luck again and hopefully the quality holds out.

P.S. I don't usually agree with all of Viometrix's but he IS correct!.

Couple things:

The MP10 KO is not better than the original, they claimed that they were going to make improvements over the original release, but they have in fact delivered a product that's inferior to the original, the hands are worse, the chest (the thing they said they would make soo much better than the original) is even worse off than the official, build quality is also not as good as the Hasbro, close but not as good.
Both, the item picture and the extra pictures he sent you are of the KO, just the extra pics show him next to a Takara style box, which doesn't look large enough to actually have the trailer it looks like Nemesis Prime's box done up as Optimus Prime.

Megatron uses a picture from this very site:
Image

Neither state that they are MISB, MISB stands for Mint Sealed In Box, as in never opened. Neither state that they are that, in fact both state that they are new in box, which can mean anything from being opened once and then put back, to having been used and then put into the box. But New in Box is also very often used by people who sell KOs on ebay, it's a code word so they can mark them as KOs, so people who want a KO know what they're getting, without having the item removed and fined by ebay, since ebay made them illegal a while back.

Then there is the fact that your screen shots show me you live in Auastralia, so good luck with that MP Megatron, should it actually be a real MP Megatron (the price does look like it could be an authentic used one, it might be something completely different, like a KO of the G1 figure), customs might actually confiscate it and won't let you have it, and if they do you must join an official club and have it locked up in a safety cabinet.

Well no KO MP-10 comes with a trailer so that theory is out the window
Many ebay sellers use stock images nothing wrong with that
Customs in Australia is not as bad as they say I will get it in to Australia , Victoria easy no problem once I get them in hand I will do an in depth review to prove I was right all along sometimes you should just trust people on eBay if they saw it's official Takara new in box with trailer I believe them.
