Asking for a Minerva toy reissue?

Hi,
I'm a new member of this forum but I have been collecting Transformers for a few years now. I was wondering if the people in this forum would support a campaign for the reissue of the Supergod masterforce (and super rare) Minerva toy? While we're there, why not a set with all three headmaster junior?
What do you all think?
thanks!

That would be great but i don't think HasTak would be interested unfortunately.
The best I could see happening is a Kickstarter like project that they would use to gauge interest , likely through a venue like TFCC.
Your best option now, is the high quality Korean KO that came out a couple years back; Reprolabels even has a nice set for her.

Unless its a poll commissioned by Tomy like that of Star Saber. Other than that, yup....RhA is correct.

I'm not sure yet how I would like to approach any companies about this project but I have to agree that internet petition alon wouldn't work. But other then those, how can we test the interest of the collector community?

Well, that's a tough one. First we need to know if the mold is available at all... Also, there's no reissue line going. Encore has been silent for 1,5 years. Without a platform to reissue a Nightbeat, the less popular Minelba is not a likely release.

It's all quiet since Fortmax.......bummer!

An interesting alternative to a reissue toy would be for a new toy. The masterforce serie from which Minerva is from has received a few new figures in recent years. There was the Botcon Metalhawk and Ginrai. There is also an upcoming repaint of Nightbeat/Bumblebee as Go Shuta in the Million publishing line in Japan. I could really see a repaint/ slight remold of Classics Prowl/Smokescreen as a decent Minerva. No?

And turned Shota to a Targetmaster (a fine looking one at that). Classics Prowl as Minelba? I don't see her girly enough. Maybe a retool of TFA Blurr like the retool of Lugnut.

Imagine, new toys for all the Masterforce characters, sadly a dream that would never come true, I mean it's taken a good while to redo the beast wars cast
On the topic of Minerva though a reissue wouldn't interest me, my g1 collection will grow slightly but I prefer modern engineering to what they had back then, in my opinion of course.

Don't get my negative Nelly attitude wrong, I would love a Minelba reissue. Screw articulation- Go geewun!

Considering that it's her headmaster component that is female, I don't believe that it would be absolutely necessary to have a 'feminine' mold. What other recent mold do you think could pull off a decent Minerva?

RTS Jazz would be perfect.

I agree. This mold would be good for Minerva!

It was in fact the original choice for Generations Nightbeat. I guess it's a happy accident that that particular mold wasn't chosen for this reason: The Nightbeat-Siren headswap.

While an easier thing to find than an authentic G1 Minerva, these are also not easy to come by anymore. However, if you can prove me wrong and know where to get these easily lately, a link would be awesome!

I wish I had a line for one man; missed out on that party the first time round and to play catch up on GoShooter and the Reprolabel set.
Been on a hunt since for Minerva thats complete but no luck so far.
I keep hoping Megatoyfan finds a random box in storage;

I was able to find a set of Korean KO (with the Reprolabel se)from another collector. Although I really wanted a reissue, I think that the KO are the best alternative for the moment. It was a lot more costly then when the KO first hit the web a few years ago (I paid around 75$ each) but it was still a lot less then what the original toys are going for. A new toy however would really be nice for Minerva. Go Shooter is already getting a repaint of Generations Nightbeat from Million publishing.

Since I don't discourage myself easily, I contacted the Transformers Collector' club last week. I asked about the interest the Club could show for a campaign to get one specific character as a repaint/remold. That is the answer that I got:
Hi,
You can feel free to start something on a Facebook page or whatever forum you wish, but as mentioned, there is nothing in the works right now, so I don’t know if it would be beneficial.
Karen
So I ask my fellow collectors/ fans. Would you like a repaint/remold of Minerva? Do you all think its time wasted?
Thanks!
P.S. I was really (and happily) surprised at how quiclky the people from the Transformers Collector's Club answered my many questions. They were great

You are persistent.
So here are two new cents- we're not getting a reissue. Maybe a Generations repaint?

Yeah, I figure out we we'rent going to get a reissue. Which is why I contacted the Club to know if a repaint would be possible. At this point, I'm convinced a repaint from a recent Generations figure (With a new head sculpt) is the best (and possibly only) possibility.

I think it's probably more likely now that Japan will probably get a repain't soon enough, especially following goshooter. There is just not enough want anywhere else in my opinion...it's not hard to believe that the club have got enough repaint ideas to last a good while...
