Agreed. I would like a "G1" Sideswipe and Red Alert, especially since Red was a Lost Lighter

I would be seriously bent if we see any more autobot combiners before another
scramble city decepticon team;
I don't care if they aren't beast combiners; make them up, or draft them from canon -
I don't care - just give us more decepticons

(and don't say tfss 4 - those are expensive exclusives - I mean retail releases)
Yeah we need more 'Cons, it's annoying that the TFCC are getting a new con combiner.
It's a shame I can't make my Digibashes real, as well as making more Autobots, I am also doing Decepticons, currently doing the Skyscorchers as CW limbs

Michigan-based Twitter user Brian Dagley (@
ShukuenShinobi) has not only found the entirety of the wave 4 limbs from Transformers Generations Combiner Wars line, featuring Sunstreaker, Prowl, Ironhide and Mirage, but has also shared some shots of the team along with Voyager Optimus Prime from the first wave. You can check out the figures in the images mirrored below, as they made their way from a Target in Sterling Heights - first US sighting - to Dagley's desk!

Mirage and Sunstreaker look great. Prowl and Ironhide... They do nothing for me.

I went ahead and pre-ordered Mirage and Prowl last night on BBTS. It'd be nice to find them at retail sooner than later, but I am not counting on it. Mirage was a must buy for me because I missed out on the Classics version.
Ironhide and Sunstreaker are an easy pass for me this time around, but that just allows me to save a little more for the Combaticon wave when it comes around.

So barring some things coming out we don't know about, if these are out already, then damn. Probably nothing except the Voyager Prime repaint and Leader Starscream until the Bruticus wave right around Christmas as far as Generations goes. No complaints about that here though.
This is the first time I'm really noticing the silver combiner hands/feet that come with these guys. That's slick. I like it.

Everybody else looks fine, but that Ironhide has got to go!

Also, is anyone else getting a Transformers: Energon Optimus Prime vibe from Optimus Maximus?

I still think he's better than the Universe 2.0 one in robot mode.
I really wish they'd used the First Aid re-tooling for the vehicle. Here's a random digibash from a Google search that makes me sad:

I know it's not the best prowl, but I really like the high contrast black and white on that mold. Personally, I like prowl and sunstreaker the best. Mirage is okay, but he feels a little bland, same with ironhide; I wish there was more tooling on them to make them more distinct.

Agree on Mirage here too. A modicum of retooling to allow the F1 car front to be his chest, with the arms being appropriate to face that way as well, would take it over the top.

Yeah I think given those additions, combiner wars mirage would be a pretty good generations mirage nearly a decade after the classic's figure. Maybe not a better figure, but distinctly it's own mirage. As for ironhide it's a better figure than the universe 2.0 figure mostly because of the engineering differences, but I think there needed to be something more distinct for him besides the head to make him more than a red offroad.

Meanwhile, the Target near me still just has two Dragstrips and a Skydive as their Combiner Wars stock, even after their massive summer restock.

I was at one of my local Targets (Okemos, MI) around 11 AM and they also have the Wave 4 Deluxes out. Had at least 2 of each.

Meanwhile, my local Target and Walmart STILL haven't stocked the Protectobots....wondering if I'll ever see them at retail.

You're assuming, of course, that there is anything Hasbro can do about what's going on in actual stores. The retailers hold almost all of the power. Hasbro can't ship to them what they won't buy. They also can't dictate to the retailers how to allocate available stock to their stores either.

I have to say, out of all the limbs, Off-road is still the stand-out figure, if only (as I do really love him) for the unique splashes of color he brings to the table as an arm.
Really that teal is to die for (that green on his face is also very nice), and greatly needed to stand out against all the muted/dark colors and grays of mm/menasor/galvatronus.

Exactly this.
Just speaking for my local area, which, granted is big but not Big or BIG or anything like that, I can say the Protectobots have been around for a couple months quite readily. Bring on a new wave!

I seriously wish has/tak had gone back and re-engineered op/mm after the others were done - I do beleive he was the first mold done, or that a seperate (and far more clever) team worked on silverbolt/hotspot - and applied some of the things that they learned from making silverbolt and hotspot to him.
Specifically the thighs and the shoulders; they could have decreased his density, locked everything together better, made the thighs 'better' (please note that defensor uses the same thighs/pelvis as hotspot, but by moving the connector ports outwards, a better look and design is achieved - this would have facilitated a better use of the mm legs, maybe even a design similar to hotspot).
I dunno, Menasor just 'looks' really cool - dat head sculpt - and the ball jointed neck was a god-send, but everything else just sucks, from an engineering standpoint; it doesn't help that the fan-modes aren't that great to me, and still have pretty poor stability/poseability; I really want to like him, I wanted to since he was revealed, but I will never love that mold - until, that is, it gets overhauled.
p.s. anyone wonder if the running change on b.c.op will affect hs wavemate

Wow, all of the new wave 4 figures look exceptional and I've been very skeptical of them until now.
On a side note, has Hasbro released a Gears figure that is G1 accurate?

Closest we've gotten so far is the Generations Legend class from last year, and he was impossible to find. I had to get him from a friend in Canada.

Lots of folks complain that his head should be Brawn's. True, but it works for me.

A couple of days ago, it may not have been news'ed. The thigh detented gear of b.c.o/p has been changed so that the combined forms' legs can sit evenly on the floor; mm is his wavemate, I wasn't sure if this wasn't the reason why
