Well Scattershot looks a lot like his G1 self, in a sense like how MM looks like his G1 self... They've been updated, and just like with MM, or Firefly, or Mixmaster we'll all learn to live with it. I'm sure with a new combined mode head, and an actual paint scheme you could warm up to an actual scattershot

Agreed. I think Scattershot is what he is: an alternative to half-empty Onslaught cases.

If (and I think that’s still a big “if”) we get a full team, I’m thinking this can go two ways:

1) A wave of deluxe Technobots (and accompanying legend figure). However, that would be so far down the line that that Scattershot would get a second wave. If so, he might get an updated version, as with red/white Prime and the expected silver/green Onslaught.
2) Box set. I personally think that this is the most likely, since Titans Returns will probably tie up the deluxe and voyager wave assortments. The Scattershot would definitely get updated in that case.

Either way, we wouldn’t see any new Scattershot until Titans Returns is underway, so I have a pretty heavy suspicion why no one bothered to give the current torso a new Computron head...

In one sense, the fan feedback wasn't as unanimous as you would believe plus that would screw up their schedule a bit to accommodate a vocal minority (in all probability to be fair) a change in schedule costs money, monet they may not get back if they did change the colour scheme.

Ah, I didn't know about the running change with Onslaught. And I was just leaving for a ski lesson when typing that list, I forgot to put in the sixth character/limb!

I had my eyes on Scattershot this weekend and this reminded me of something I noticed. This is probably not news, and I think it has have been discussed previously, but may lend some credence to a Scattershot redeco.

On the box it listed his combined form was Betatron and his limbs were BCP's Autobot team. I didn't read the bio to see if there was some reason for the match up like there was for Cyclonus/Galvatronus. Maybe they will tie the name into some type of beta test for the real deal Computron?

It said something about (I threw away the box so I can't look at it now) Scattershot not being hindered by the merging of minds in combination so he's the s' go-to-guy for quick in-battle combinations.

Is the pelvis oriented correctly? I had that problem for a while, but then I realized that the torso wasn't in the right position.

I spotted CW Blast Off at my local Wal-Mart today. It was so tempting to pick him up in anticipation of the rest of the Combaticons coming in, but I'm holding out for Takara to come out with a Bruticus set with a space shuttle Blast Off instead of a Slingshot repaint.

I am totally looking forward to getting a complete CW Bruticus. That'll happily replace my FOC Bruticus

Strange. I noticed mine took a little more force than I was expecting to peg the tank mode nice and secure, but nothing troubling. Maybe you have some weird flashing or something that wasn't removed during manufacturing getting in the way.

I've heard that if you do the mod where you swap the legs and then rotate the waist 180° it pegs better. Not sure if that is true or not. I tried that mod and didn't like the way it looked (kinda dumpy). I also didn't see any real benefit either.
