Thinking about it, I really appreciate Onslaught and Hot Spot's torso transformation in how G1-esque they are - in that Defensor's head comes from the ladder like the G1 toy, and Bruticus' head goes where Onslaught's head was; much like how the original toy had the Bruticus head as a helmet that went over Onslaught's head.

I feel your pain...I waited way too long to get started collecting this line, but if you keep scouring eBay you will find deals. I found an auction of HotSpot (MISB) with loose streetwise, First Aid, Blades, and legends groove for $70. Which is exactly what I wanted since I already had Rook, and Deluxe Groove is on order.

Oddly enough, in short order I have been able to get most of the Autobot Combiners, the Decepticon ones are harder to come by though...obviously because 2 of them are exclusives, and two others (soon to be 3) are Japanese only, which makes them all more $$$

He will not be. He is online only and regular retailers like Walmart are not going to be getting him. Your best bet would be to search eBay and amazon religiously for a deal

Stalked Amazon for Deluxe Groove and it paid off! It's available for "preorder" from Amazon for $16.99+tax. It's not in stock until next week though, but I'd rather wait than pay $24.99.

In regards to finishing combiners I'm gonna jump on the Combaticon deluxes at Hasbrotoyshop real soon. Use the promo code, add a Titanmaster to get free shipping and I'll have they whole set for $51+tax. Defensor shall soon have his rival.

After getting those Wave 6 Deluxes(which were imports btw) leafing through the comics that came with them....i noticed a few characters in there
rsz_20160904_153700-1.jpg

I didn't notice them in any of the Waves that came out :-?

YES! as people on here keep on telling me....not everything in the comics HAS to be turned into a toy! but it would've been nice if we had gotten those characters as toys in the CW line ;)

as with this too! whatever it is :???: seems to be some sort of mobile city of sorts :-?

That's one of the cities on Planet Velocitron. With that planet's culture being centered entirely around racing and motion, every one of its normal, ordinary cities are mobile.

'Fat Tankor' is in fact based on the deluxe Tankor that came out in Generations: Thrilling 30. 'Tall Tankor' is the G1 Triple Changer Octane who is almost certainly going to be a repaint/retool of Titans Return Voyager Optimus.

Lightbright is based on the animated character (who never got a toy) so her toy future is not overly bright (huehuehue) and Sparkstalker also has no plans for a current toy yet

They weren't sold as combiners though, they just had the name on the box

Aye, but, I kinda doubt Sparkstalker and Lightbright would get Leader-class toys. Legends would be cool tho.

Multiple Transformers Combiner Wars Figures Appearing at Marshalls and Winners

Megatronus and Kanrabat have both reported seeing Combiner Wars deluxes at Marshalls and Winners in the US and Canada respectively. Both stores are part of the same TJX parent company (which also owns TJ Maxx) so it would seem that it was a purchase made at a higher level and redistributed across different companies and countries. That would explain why it is the international versions being found in both those locations, meaning the versions that come with the cards instead of the comics. Megatronus found both the deluxe waves of Bruticus and Skyreign for $9.99 USD while Kanrabat found the Bruticus wave for $9.99 CAD a piece and Leader Starscream for $19.99 CAD. This is a great time to go pick up some extra combiner fodder, let us know what you find on the hunt!

There's something about the Aerialbots that seems to happen quite a bit with planeformers and I hate it when it does - when they come with a single rifle and the only ports are under the wings. It just kinda, like... looks really silly, you know? You could have underslung blasters like the Seekers but when it's only one it looks really bad. And even if you take a second from another aerialbot it'll be a different blaster so it still doesn't look right. And don't even think of using the HFG... and it's even worse for Blast Off especially since I prefer the Combaticons having a big weapon loadout.

Sooooo to remedy this, when I had Leader Thundercracker I had a look at his weapons. I only needed the big black guns for his legs and the big blue ones for his 'null rays', so the big single blaster and the two tiny guns which wouldn't have fit him at all were up for grabs. The big blaster makes an incredible Combiner weapon I found (or just a great fusion cannon dealio for anyone), but the two smaller blasters?

Image

PERFECT.

I've got more images for the limb modes but I don't want to make a post massive just due to images and the robot/vehicle modes are what this matters for most anyway

I swung by a TJ Maxx and they were just putting up the CW deluxes on the shelves. They had 1, and in some cases 2, of each limb for Sky Reign and Bruticus, at $9.99 each. Wish I had waited. They also had Onslaught a few weeks back for $14.99. That's $55+tax for Bruticus!!!

I saw a couple Onslaught & Scattershot Voyagers...but nothing else...scoured weeks and weeks for Sky Lynx at every Marshalls and TJ Maxx in my area...no such luck, finally had to bite the bullet and got one on Amazon for around $35 after shipping. I'm surprised in fairly quick order how much of the UW/CW series I have picked up. Unfortunately now it is coming down to the more pricey items...so I'll be waiting a while before getting any more.

For context, she's £90 at UK retail (assuming Kapow's prices are retail).

Sky Lynx for $35 isn't so bad considering that's what the online stores wanted for him.

So I've been meaning to ask. We all know the MSRP for the different sized figures. And the online stores will usually tack on $2 to MSRP, which isn't terrible considering there's no tax. But every now and then, they'll jack it up by much more. Sky Lynx is an example at $10 over MSRP. Does anyone know why? Limited supply? A popular product they know they can sell at a higher price? A bit of both?
