I get that you're calling it rumor due to the lack of official confirmation, but come on guys, we all know this IS a confirmation x)
Personally, I don't like most of the G2 decos, but good for those who do...that said, I'd LOVE to see the fandom's reaction if this came with a gold Alpha Bravo xD

I think all the G2 fans would love Slingshot in gold... as long as he doesn't break. ;-)

I was thinking. This could VERY QUICKLY populate our sparse little G2 Redux shelves. I'm reluctantly getting excited.

Hasbro... BRING IT! Make it rain G2.

I would make an altar for gold alpha bravo and treat it as a message from our lord and savior alpha bravo   . I'm not a G2 fan, but I'm glad that Hasbro is possibly delivering to those who are, like you said.

Same here! I like G2 but more for its original molds (Dreadwing and Smokejumper all the way!!!!!) rather than it's interpretation of G1.

Oh for sure. Those two were excellent. And yeah, I kinda lump in all of the "G1.5" euro bots like Pyro and Clench in with that batch. Putting those all together in one big "line" of toys on a shelf, you get some really wild color and awesome characters...from G2 Starscream and Ramjet all the way to Skyquake. There's just nothing like it.

It's a confirmation that the product exists, it is not a confirmation that they are moving forward with mass-production and plans to sell it at a convention or in stores. There are any number of factors that may keep it from coming out, so until we know for certain, it's unconfirmed.

The set should come with the Alpha Bravo mold and a ziploc bag of golden dust labeled "Slingshot".

 Indeed, that was awesome! I might have to do that somehow. My daughter has a bunch of gold glitter...

Or I could just handle my actual G2 Slingshot...

GAB will obviously need the throne accessory for MP King Grimlock, maybe even sprayed gold.

Given, it's usually because the character looks a little on the mustard side (LOL), but they have new chemicals and plastics to steer clear of GPS. ALSO they can simply paint critical portions of a character gold if needed.

Exactly. The problem is still there but it's only 1, maybe 2 figures per odd line. The latest victims are:

Cybertron Repugnus
Beast Wars 10th Anniversary Dinobot
Beast Machines Snarl

Don't forget that Millennium Falcon cross-over from around 2006...

I'm not convinced that's actual GPS on the Falcon, and not just a problem with too tight joints and regular plastic breakage. For one thing, it's not even gold, it's more bronzy, but more importantly, the pics I've seen have it more snapped, not crumbled like GPS. My own is perfectly fine, but that's a data point of one.

It's just called Gold Plastic Syndrome. It can happen with a variety of metallic plastics, not just gold.

A Generation 2 Superion is something I rather buy than the Superion with the G1 colors because I'm weird like that and it's different.

So what are your feelings on the Blitzwing and Astrotrain release?

I find them strange. What random colors they chose! (Almost like a BotCon figure.) I find their original colors much more interesting than their neon counterparts. If I, for some reason, buy this set, I would only sell it for a little bit more. Actually, I think it's time to sell my old Transformers and make a profit out of them. Interesting you asked this question Mr. 88.

All this talk about Slingshot... Botcon or ComicCon should release a set that includes the Rolls Royce grill he wore in that one episode. He would wear that on my shelf... ALL.... THE.... TIME.

Chiming in on the triple changers... I really like the ideas, but seems like the colors are just slightly off — and the location of the paint apps on Astrotrain. I also wish they were named completely different character names and bios. That's always a plus to getting new robots. I want a back story and personality and traits, etc.

Still, they're wild enough I'm sure to get them. Any "new" G1 characters are a shoe in for me.

An artist on Deviantart called Air-Hammer http://air-hammer.deviantart.com/ did mock-ups of what the CW Aerialbots and Stunticons would look like in their G2 colours.

Yeah, these do look pretty amazing in the new colors... not ever campy, but just good. (ie. red car, black car, blue plane, silver plane, etc. all just look sporty and awesome.) All in all, Silverbolt is the only one that really looks like he has kinda wild G2 colors.

I'm excited to add these with the other G2 redux figures. Hope they come through for the fans and release these as a box set.

Now to randomly start posting in this thread...

I had been interested in the Optimus Prime CW figure since I saw him, and I got hI'm as soon as I could. His Ultra Prime mode was quite a let down, though....

Or was it?! I finally put together a configuration I like. I have him and Superior together on my desk at work, and I have Optimus Prime configured thusly:

It's amazing how the legs make such a difference.
