BotCon 1997 Exclusives - Demand?

Howdy all,
I have a set of the Boton Exclusive Beast Wars figs (Rattrap and Terrorsaur reprints) and I'm trying to figure out if there's interest, generally, in those and what the value might be.
There are some listed on Ebay currently, which include the box. In that condition, they seem to hit between $400-500. Mine are loose and I am missing Packrat's weapon.
I also have the CD set that was released there, and I'm torn between selling and holding onto that. I can't find anything that might indicate a possible value on that, so I'm really not sure where to start.
Any advice on this?
Hope this is an appropriate place for this question - I know if I were actually posting them for sale they'd go in the sale forum, but I'm not ready for that just yet.

I don't know about the CD, but a little on the figures. I haven't kept solid tabs on these and every single one sold, but generally speaking:
- Minty Sealed (if these were even "sealed", I'm not sure if they were): $450+
- Sealed/Boxed but imperfect box: $350+
- Loose: Never seen a set loose, but probably $250-$300 depending on the shape.
With a missing weapon, woof, that's tough to gauge. Personally I'd not even look twice at it despite needing the set, since that's a weapon that would be very, very unlikely to show up on its own. The caveat to that would be "well, if it were cheap as hell, then I would". For me, rare sets missing things are throwaways. It's a temporary solution until I either find a decent complete one at a price I like, then I flip the ones missing things.
This is also one of those times where timing can matter a lot. Someone just sold the figure set boxed in September for almost $600, but then someone's auction not three weeks later only fetched $409 (so a net to them of about $360 after ebay/paypal fees). That BiN could have been a wealthy but clueless/newbie seller, or an overseas buyer that doesn't get a lot of opportunity at it.
tl;dr There's not a lot of demand for the set, but those that want it will pay. Loose and without a weapon makes value hard to determine, but it's definitely far below the average.

Thanks for the info. On ebay and timing, I definitely understand that phenomenon. I've been on the right and wrong ends of that before.
On the box, FYI, I got mine at the Con, and I don't recall exactly, but I'm pretty sure the box was not sealed. Sadly this was misplaced during one of my several moves since then. :/ I'm really not sure how I misplaced the weapon, I'm normally really careful with this, but so it goes.
On the price, I understand that it can be hard to predict, and I'm certainly not expecting to get anywhere near what a more complete set would go for. I may just stick a BIN on there and see what happens.

Despite everything I just said shoot me an offer via PM before you list it. You'll get to keep more money with an off-ebay deal anyway. I may be tempted weapon or not - also depends on mood
