I think the question is: why not release them under the Legends line? They are obviously 'G1' enough for it, and TT released other continuity figures under that banner too (primal, slipstream, etc.)

I guess Takara, for some reason, doesn't want the Legends line to have any figures smaller than Deluxe class anymore. Maybe the Swerve & Tailgate 2-pack didn't do so hot or something.

Well, TakaraTomy did say they wanted to change directions with the Legends line, maybe that's part of it? Or maybe singles are logistically easier to plan releases for?

At any rate, given that the Legends-sized figure come in twos, how would you have paired them? We have:

Bombshell
Shrapnel
Powerglide
Cosmos/Adams
Blackjack/Runabout
Groove/Override

I'd have either done three VS packs of one Bot and one Con each, or one Insectrons set, one Minibots set, and one VS pack of the Blackjack/Runabout mold vs. the Groove/Override mold.

But that still doesnt explain why TAV 31 Black Shadow was not released in the Legends line.

New Galleries: Robots In Disguise Mini-Cons Wave 2 Ratbat, Beastbox, Velocirazor, and Sandsting

While we have already covered Wave 3 of the Transformers Robots in Disguise Mini-Cons, we have yet to give you galleries of the Wave 2 offering. This wave consisted of Ratbat, Beastbox, Velocirazor, and Sandsting. Collecting all four gave you the necessary pieces to put together a cool energon shark figure. This is the last wave to give such a bonus and it is surprising that this feature was not shown in the instructions when it seems well thought out and well executed. These minicons work with either Deployers Drift or Fracture depending on the shape.

I almost bought Ratbat but held off. The fact that you couldn't spread his wings was a huge turn off. He looks like a simian, not a bat.

Yeah, the non-existent articulation has lowered this entire line to the level of a pitiful joke for me =;

I'd definitely pick up some of these if the articulation was increased, like Sandsting and Ratbat

That is ironic that they don't want the legends line to have legends anymore... ;)

Well, now they seem to have changed their mind about that since the Legends line will be getting Legends class Titans Returns molds in it.

Having overcome that milestone 4000 gallery mark, Seibertron.com is now on its way up towards that 5000 gallery trophy, and to help bring us up to speed we are proud to show off our latest gallery: Robots In Disguise Legion Class Ratchet and Blizzard Strike Optimus Prime! These tiny little titans that everyone knows and loves thanks to the Season 2 finale as well as Transformer: Prime both get the legends class treatment, with Optimus being the typical blue deco we all know and love, and Ratchet is a retool of Strongarm, as his warrior toy shall be too. You can reference the toys with their previous versions, with Strongarm being HERE and Prime's warrior toy being HERE

It's good to see everyone excited about our first RID Ratchet figure. Glad everyone's keeping their levels in check. I mean, it's just a Legion figure guys. Calm your levels of excitement down!

New Galleries: Robots In Disguise Legion Class Windblade, Drift, Clampdown and Thunderhoof

As we saw in yesterday's gallery, Robots in Disguise is keeping the Legion Class alive and strong with its very varied assortment of Autobots and Decepticons. This class even includes characters we cannot get in any other class such as Clampdown, whose gallery is now up for you to see. Accompanying this crustacean Decepticon is mob boss Thunderhoof, who surprisingly sports as many paint applications as his warrior class counterpart. To keep these Decepticons in check, this 6th wave of Legion Class figures also has Windblade and Drift. It's interesting they came together in the same wave since they are both part of Optimus' stealth team on the show.

These are, refreshingly, all new molds. Enjoy the new galleries for the Wave 6 Legion Class assortment and let us know what you think of these toys!

Some of those legion class figures are great: Fixit and Clampdown. Some don't look so hot. I keep seeing legion Windblade at the store and I keep on walking by. For those that have the legion figure; how is it?

Clampdown really dissapointed me. I am not fond of how they handled his pincers. Neat transformation though.

Bummer about the claws but how much more do we expect from legion class? but he is an awesome little crustacean :MAXIMAL:

I expect a bit more. Groundbuster is far mroe articulated than all the others and Megatronus has a rotating turret and a removeable cannon that can be reattached. I dont think we should be too complacent.

Her face in robot mode is not so hot. I keep all my RiD legions in vehicle mode b/c I think they all look so much better that way.
