What "Fillers" do you use for your Masterpiece Shelf?

Here's a question. There is no Masterpiece Jazz yet, so I use the Binaltech Jazz w/Martini reprolabels as a filler. Wreck-Gar is in for mine. Leader Jetfire has joined the group also.

Yep, Leader Jetfire is a decent MP stand in. Binaltech Hound is also top notch.

I will happily use stand-ins for my Classics collection, but never for MP.

I have all my Alternators Displayed with my MPs.
Broad Blast makes a great Blaster because he is bigger than the MP cars.
Ravage does a great job of filling in the lack of MP cons.
The coming Generations Leader Megatron might look nice for those of us unwilling to take a risk on the MP. Also first thing I thought of when I saw the new leader class Thundercracker. I missed out on the TRU MP version.

I may sub for my Classics shelf, but not for Masterpieces.

Not counting 3rd party "MP" figures, I used to have Alternity Bumblebee and Cliffjumper as MP stand ins and still have Generations Springer and Wheelie standing next to Rodimus and Ultra Magnus. Back in the larger scale days, MP-01 was surrounded by literally every Binaltech and/or Alternator toy made but they're all either in storage, in character displays, or have been sold off.

I had thought about adding Deluxe Warpath to join Bumblebee. The tank doesn't scale, but I just don't foresee a better bot mode for minibot scale.

With the third party purchases I have I don't really see the need for fillers. That said, Generations Springer has spent some time on that shelf as he seems to scale quite well in robot and car modes.
Generations Jetfire is WAY too small, I don't see how that fits. The Alternators and Binaltechs are in scale with MP-01 so that's where mine are displayed. Hound would dwarf the modern MP cars. That said, if that makes you happy you carry on! I'm happy to wait for the figures that are missing.

masterpieces are the only figures my wife allows me to display outside of the toy room, so I don't use any fillers. IMHO, no other figures are good enough, not even the Binaltechs.
The one lone exception is Generations Rhinox. I consider him a masterpiece level figure for Beast Wars.

Fillers outside of the actual MP line thus far don't work for me in general. I did use the Ravage that came packaged w deluxe CHUG Hound as a sub to stand next to my MP Soundwave though.

Where did he come from? That is nice! I don't do well in keeping up w/ 3rd party

Generations Brainstorm's headmaster is very close to the size of the little humans that came with MP-10 and MP Magnus, so I briefly thought about putting him up there, but then closed the latch on that idea.

Brainstorm would be good if he scaled with the other jets like Jetfire

True, though he is a Space Jet/Fighter/Plane/something so alt mode scale could be very forgivable. For me it's more to do with the aesthetic and quality than the size on that one.

I really don't think I could agree more with this statement.

In my book 3rd party are fillers also as they aren't official. I might have to snatch a Brainstorm seeing it's the only headmaster out, I'd like a "fixed" version though.

I thought someone would say this. I don't consider 3rd party figures as fillers as the ones i've bought are better quality and design than the official products!

I'm not denying their quality at all, and I do commend those that pushed the bar and basically forced HasTak to do the same. This is friendly convo. Many are looking at Generations Megs as their "fill in", although no one has said a peep. I don't do well in following 3rd party, as I'm willing to bet many other collectors are the same.

Brainstorm is a bowl full of awesome. He scales well along with the 2 target masters that came with scoop.

I'm using Generations Megatron as my MP Megs right now, the look is pretty good and he scales well with everyone but Prime

I plan on using Gen Megs as stand in also. My preorder is for Takara so I get the luxury of waiting till May to get him. Decepticons are on a different shelf than Autobots in my collection, stop the Bullying campaign here #needmoredecepticons

So I finally found a filler for my MP shelf. This Thundercracker is a 3rd party, but I feel he has earned his place by simply being that damn awesome.
