I just don't know. I'm not feeling these guys at all. I was excited before but these robot modes just make me question him.

The listing states this is a "7 in 1".....whats the 7th member? Maybe the forearms and chest piece combine into something? Like the old universe micro combiners?

The more I see of this, the less Mixmaster's foot mode bugs me and the better the individual robots look. I'm getting used to the awkward elbows on some of them, and I understand, presumably, why it was done.

Basically, 6 robot/vehicles and 1 combiner form in 1 package.

I caught that too. I think they are counting Devastator himself as the 7th.

So out of this one set, you can make 7 robots.

#7 is Devastator himself. It's like a 2 in 1 game.

by which logic, it really should be advertised as a 13 in 1. each individual robot is itself 2 in 1. Does anyone know if devastator's arms have actual shoulder rotation?

HE LOOKS SO EPIC! 18 inches tall! Wow! Devastator really deserved this! :)

okay, looking back at pictures of him on display, at least one shoulder swivels so I assume the other does too... the swivel is just in a really weird place due to the design of the smaller figures. It would look alot better if they swiveled cab center like the box shows but they swivel and hinge at the top, which looks kind of unnatural. Ah well. I'm guessing logistics got in the way there in a big way. at least he has em.

Would it have killed them to just put in better elbows? I just don't understand why people aren't more steamed at Hasbro for the flaws in the individual figures. Unless a third-party come out with new arms for Long Haul and Scrapper, this is goin' to be an easy pass.

I'm gonna go out on a limb and say that maybe the chest piece becomes something else. Maybe just a jet, or maybe an actual transformer. That could be the "7th" figure.

Oh, I'm steamed. I've been steamed. But it is what it is. I am praying for PE or some other 3rd Party to swoop in with a solution, but if they don't, I'll find a way to live with it.

Each one of the individual robots, from the waist up, is a glorious work of art, slavishly accurate to its G1 counterpart. From the waist down, however, it's like, "Hasbro wat r u doin? Hasbro! Stahp!"

Remember in the 1986 Movie after Megs calls on to the Constructicons to "merge for the kill....." It still raises my goosepimples when he , Devs responded.."prepare ..for...EXTERMINATION!"

This time, I can re-enact that scene with my G1 crew.

Because this is NOT about individual robots. If you're going to buy this, you're going to buy it for Devestator. Harping on about how bad the individual robots are only matters to those who are going to display this set in individual robot modes.

And honestly, how many are going to do to that?

A lot of folks actually do rotate parts of their collections around from one mode to another for variety purposes.

The individual robots all look pretty terrible and awkward and certainly nowhere near expected modern standards. While I'm not a huge fan of the other recent combiner teams they at least do a good job of updating the original designs and provide satisfactory robot forms for each member. This set sticks to the original constructicons way too closely for the most part and they were among the poorest looking of the early G1 figures to begin with.

Well..... now, c'mon. If were separating them into THAT group, they had a LOT of company.

Because we understand that they had to make sacrifices on the individual bots for the sake of Devastator's larger mass and the price point they're shooting for. And we also know that the 3Ps are going to be offering replacement parts at a rapid pace once they get their hands on him.

I do. I have all my CW figures displayed as individuals. I like the look of a team of bots. I only combine them for fun.

I have wanted a Classics/Generations, fully combining G1 Devastator for a lllllooooooonnnnnggggg time now, and to now see that that dream of mine is finally coming true is pretty awesome! Then add the fact that the ENTIRE Combiner Wars toyline is something that I have wanted Hasbro and/or TakaraTomy to do for a VERY long time. So many dreams of Transformers toys that I have always wanted to be made are coming true. This just makes me so happy! Now, where is Combiner Wars Predaking, Ambominus, Bruticus, Computron, Monstructor, and Piranacon Hasbro!
