i do, all the time, even though i'm 24, coming up on 25 this friday. i find that keeping them in their box after buying them is not fair and once their out i look at them alot but sometimes when i'm board and get an idea i'll take one and play a little. i'm sure i'm not the only one who does this.

Nah, that little piece inside me that allowed me to "play" with things as a kid is dead now

I only keep my g1 reissues in their boxes, or toys which dont transform-other than that i totally play with mine- I often just pick up a toy and pose it or transform it a dozen times before putting it back. Of course I have a kid so we genuinely play with my tfs all the time,I am actually finding that i am having to force him to do things other than play with tfs!

What have i become!

Ugh, keeping things MIB/MOC is something I will never understand. If you won't take the thing out of the box, then the whole point of getting it just vaporizes. I had Leader Prime (movie) in the box because I wasn't sure I was going to keep it. Lasted a week, then I couldn't take it anymore, I opened it up, and that was it. He's standing on my desk holding my business cards.

Do I play with my TF's? I think "Play" is the wrong word. When I think of play, it reminds me of little kids pretending they are truck drivers with their Hot Wheels, and things like that. I mostly "tinker" with my TF's. I pick one or two up, see what poses I can get that looks cool, but different than before, and then back on the shelf or desk they go.

It's funny, even as a little kid, I never played with my Transformers. I simply transformed them every now and then, and they'd be standing around creating a battle scene. I never bashed them, or anything like that. I'm weird I guess.

Nothin' wrong with posing toys. Hell, if that's "playing," then I can be accused of that on about 2,000 counts, and rising.

I liked posing my figures and bots mostly into battle scenes, or just "group shots."

Nothin' wrong with tactile sensation when you're figurin' out how the hell to put Alternator Wheeljack/Grimlock's shoulders back in that damned position.

Play, I can't do that anymore. I'd much rather do a hundred other things that sit on the floor having a mock up battle.

However, I do re-decorate with mine all the time. New poses, new shelves, etc. Gotta mix up the decor to keep the apartment looking fresh. ;)

As I tell my Fiance.... it's not "playing" it's "toying". Clears everything up! :P

I like to transform them back and forth a few times then put them back on display. But sometimes a few punches go flying, I can't explain it :-?

I play with dem all the time!
Unfortunately most of them are all in a big box in my garage.
I've got about... 4 toys in my room at the moment and most of the rest are in the garage.
I also like to muk about with my home-made transformers (made from paper).

That's the best part isn't it? Getting to live vicariously through the kid. Bringing back that old spark of imagination that allows you to actually get down on the floor and bring these guys to life.

Unfortunately my son is still a bit young and his idea of playing with them is more violently slamming two guys together in mock combat. Is it any wonder anything survived the last 20 years if we were as rough with them growing up as they are now.

No playing - I tried a few years back but like other posters, that little part of me that allowed me to re-image classic encounters like Time Wars with my G1 figures just does not seem to be there anymore.

I pick them up sometimes and transform them and switch around the guys I have on display but that is about as far as it goes for me.

I don't really play with them I fiddle with them when I first get them then just put them up on my desk or shelf.

Hmm, I haven't properly played with my guys yet, but I figure I'll probably do so in the future, to calm down after something bad happens. I've watched DVDs to do that in the past, but I figure that playing with Transformers might work a bit better. We shall see.

I dont play with them anymore. But to tell you the truth, I realize that TF collecters hate keeping them in the box unless they are G1. Thats cool because i thought i was the only one to take them out of the box and transform them and put them on my shelf. They just look like collectible cars if they stay in the pack. You have to take them out and put them in robot form in order to enjoy them. A lot of collecters i know want to stone people to death if they remove figures from the pack, But they always say that TF have to be taken out of the pack. I agree.

I occasionally pick one up and toy with it and re-arrange the shelves about every 2 weeks but I don't really play with them like I did when I was a child.

I do.

I only rearrange them every now and then. The only transformer that I bring out often is RiD Galvatron, because I like transforming him into his hand mode and giving everyone the finger.

I do

I do sometimes. I might makem em battle and junk mostly wit my movie stuff recreating the scenes cept bumble cause the new one isn't in my grasp yet, but i find myself getting bored wit em after like 10 mins. Guess it's just a part of getting older  but i can still keep em on my shelf next 2 my bws but still kinda sad that the spark i had as a kid is starting to disapate into my teen years

If picking up one of my TFs often and transforming and posing it is "playing" with them, then I'm guilty as charged.

On that note, I just started collecting the Robot Heroes bots and those little guys have proven to be a feisty bunch. They duke it out on my desk all the time.

Yup, the extend of my 'playing' with my TFs is transforming and rearranging them on the shelf, and occasionally shooting my girlfriend with a missile.

But no real playing, kid-style.
