Does anyone collect just Autobots or just Decepticons? I was wondering because my friend knows this person who only collects Autobots and no Decepticons. I mean this guy has tons of Autobots. The biggest Autobots collection I ever seen.

I am collecting Autobots only. BUT - if I ever come across a very, very good Decepticon, I wouldn't mind buying him. It's just a way of prioritizing. Getting both factions leads you to spending too much in too little time.

I mostly collect Decepticons, but I do have a few Autobots (mostly classics) that I liked.

I collect Decepticons. Although I have a few Autobots because of A: they came with something and B: They were my original toys. I am even more specific in that I collect Seekers and more specifically Starscream.

I swear, someone posted this exact same thread with the exact same friend a while back. I'm suspicious.

But just in case I'm paranoid, I collect whatever looks coolest. Just so happens that more often than not, they're Decepticons.

I don't, but at one point, during armada, I only collected minicons

I collect what I like lately; though there have been exceptions.

Rumor has it, that one day, all will be one.

I'm planning ahead.

I only buy Autobots. They number something like 75 so far. So only a small army really.

I do own some Decepticons though, like Classics SS that I traded with my bro for the reissue version, and Cybertron Scrapmetal- he makes a good rumble.

You see, I own all the reissues in the house.

Oh, and I own Unicron. But the rest are bots

Well, before the classics line came out, I was mostly a Con collector. I'll pick some Bots here and there from lines, but I prefer the Cons. I just like the more aggressive look and the fact that they are mostly war machines.

Classics just changes everything for me, and I think I have all the line up so far. Just talking about the deluxes and up figures, not counting mini-cons and the other little guys.

I collect both, but I have more Autobots since I have an affinity to sports cars and big red trucks, and the Alts are a little one-sided.

But I do have a rather large portion of fighter jets and armored ground vehicles, so maybe it's evening out...

Well here's a third, I only collect anything with the name Ultra Magnus stamp next to it whether G1/RID/Energon/Universe/MP or future line

In addition to the above, I also collect both factions for the G1/Reissue toy. For the latter TF line, I only collect the one that I like.

I have a lot of both sides, But in the last year or so I have only been buying Autobots. Soon i will be trading my friend my decepticons for his Autobots so that i will have nothing but autobots on my shelfs and he will have all decepticons. Do you know how bad it sucks to have a best friend who likes decepticons when i like autobots.

I just collect both factions. Besides, you can't get some figure on one side & not get the other. Classics Ultra Magnus & Skywarp. You can't just an Autobot in that case. I just like to get both sides. Otherwise Soundwave & Blaster couldn't fight each other w/the Cassetticon armies.

Right now I only collect Decepticons, and very specifically Seekers.

Only decepticons but a few good autobots such as Cyber Defense Scattorshot

Well at the moment I am currently switching from toys to the models. So therefore collecting all the Unleashed and some other things that don't really transform. But yes I do collect the Autobots first and then when I have them for a series I start the Decepticons.
