That Leader class Megs looks fantastic. The only thing i don't like is that i would have preferred if he was Voyager class. I don't understand Hasbro's fixation to make Megatron bigger than Prime.

Yep, that is definitely stock photography of the Hasbro Generations Megatron being used for Takara's Legends Megatron.

After sitting on the appearance of the Aerialbots, I think I've pinned their alt-modes. Skydive is a Mig-29, Fireflight/Slingshot and Air Raid are both decently close to the Harrier and F-14 Tomcat respectively. However Silverbolt's alt mode is made up. It's really a mishmash of different aircraft here. The Mig-29 in the Soviet analog to Skydive's original alt-mode the F-16. The Harrier is what Slingshot originally turned into, meanwhile Fireflight turned into the totally unrelated F-4. The F-14 on the other hand is the US Navy's contemporary to the F-15 of the US Air Force, which was Air Raid's original alt-mode. So for some reason they updated all of their alt-modes to aircraft that aren't really any newer, or that make any more sense (As in the case of Silverbolt, where his exotic shape makes him look goofy, and is sort of a B-line thematically). :-? Interesting stuff to ponder, It's like they just searched "Airplane" on Google images and took the first five pictures whether real or fake.

I won't get into the individual bots, as unlike in the 80's, Hasbro has to watch it designs and make them half-way "generic" or else they would need to get permission from the plane makers no different than getting permission from GM, Dodge, Ford, VW, etc to use different car forms. Hasbro did the same thing with the earlier Generations/Classics stuff with the cars. That being said, in regard to Silverbolt's "exotic...goofy shape," I submit this for your consideration.... The XB-70, one of the USAF's first ventures into a supersonic bomber...Looks a tad familiar don't ya think 8) You should read the wiki on the XB-70, it was one BAD MF. With what it could do, it would be a perfect form for a robot in disguise...

Although a more modern Aerialbots should really have a B-2 as Silverbolt, and throw in an F-22, F-35, MAYBE an F-117, and maybe an Osprey. Ultimately, whatever modern aircraft choosen need to be from the SAME country because a group of multinational fighters roaming together would be weird/suspect. Honestly (wish coming here) I think a team of vintage aircraft would be cool... like the ones you see at airshows, PERFECT cover!! I am thinking a B-29 or B-17 Silverbolt then throw in a Japanese Zero, a P-51, an Mig-18, an F-86, Messerschmitt Me 262...Combos are limitless really. =P~

If the MG set is any indication, it will be unbalanced as hell, and at PG scale, I have no idea where you're going to get the space to display it with those huge thrusters jutting out of the backpack. But you kinda need them to keep it from toppling over.

Also, I want that windblade.

I wish Takara would go ahead and reveal their deco for Legends LG13 Megatron already, instead of still using Hasbro stock photos for it.

Then that would be disappointing for those anticipating a different/cooler-looking deco for the figure from Takara.

Takara's Roadbuster was too similar to Hasbro's deco that I just didn't bother with it and picked up the Hasbro version instead. But Takara's Gelshark/Sky-Byte, Arcee, and Windblade all look good enough for me to want those over Hasbro's.

I kinda imagine that since the scheme Hasbro has is favorable to the fans, we wont see much of a difference except a tweak here or there. I bet they will do a G2 version eventually though.

In the first image?

If you mean the second image, it's just the Aerialbots.
