I love these little Q-Transformers. I'd like to see as many of the original Mini-Bots done as Q-Transformers. Looking forward to seeing the concept expand to the Seekers. I'm glad they're not trying to pull the Alternity Seekers route by making them into cars.

I saw the Seekers on BBTS. They look like the sort of thing that should have pull back and go action.

I don't know anything about the Q-Transformers. Is that a different story line or just a fun little toy? Does Q stand for cute?

We continue the gallery streak here at Seibertron.com, by bringing you another addition to the qtest Transformers line in a while - the superdeformed, micro-changing Takara Tomy Q-Transformers. In this addition, we see two big characters from the current comics, though in another incarnation for their vehicle modes for sure: QT21 Drift, as a white Mazda RX-7 FD3s, and QT22 Skids, as a blue Suzuki Hustler. In fact, they're retools of previously released Sunstreaker and Hound!

Click on any of the images below to view the full galleries, and enjoy the browsing experience.

We have more galleries of the super deformed cuteness that is Q-Transformers. Optimus Prime, Bumblebee and Lockdown are based on their appearance in the Q-Transformers: Mystery of Convoy Returns series. We also get a gallery of the crossover Hello Kitty Q-Transformer in a guise based on G1 Optimus Prime who takes the Q-Transformers cuteness level to head exploding proportions.

As always, click on the images below to see the full galleries.

Not exactly. These three are new versions meant to be show-accurate to the cartoon talk show that these three host together.

The original versions were more detailed and movie-accurate, while these new ones are more cartoony and kawaii like the show.

Also, yay, Kitty-chan gets a gallery! Bring on the EVA Units as well!

Bumblebee is creepy while Lockdown's kinda adorable. I'm not sure that's the intent.

A shame that Lockdown doesn't have a hook-hand.

New Galleries: Q-Transformers QT-26 Shockwave, QT-27 Soundwave, and QT-28 Cliffjumper

Our Q-Transformers galleries continue with QT-26 Shockwave, QT-27 Soundwave, and QT-28 Cliffjumper. The super deformed Shockwave transforms into an equally super deformed Toyota Crown Athlete S21. Soundwave is a retool of QT-09 Optimus Prime which includes a new head and legs. Cliffjumper is a retool of QT-08 Bumblebee with a new head and just like Bumblebee, Cliffjumper's legs evoke a Volkswagen Beetle's hood.

If you can handle all this super deformed Transformers cuteness then click on the images to see the full galleries.

The Shockwave one is a curiosity regarding its name. Up until now, all of the Q-Transformers that are based on G1 characters have had their original Takara names written in Katakana and their Hasbro names written in English. Cliffjumper is an example of this, with the Katakana reading as "Cliff" while the Latin script reads as "Cliffjumper".

With Shockwave, however, both the Katakana and Latin script read as "Shockwave" despite his original Takara name being "Laserwave". Even in the Q-Transformers: Mystery of Convoy Returns cartoon is the guy referred to as "Laserwave" in episodes he has appeared in. So it's rather unusual for this toy to use the Hasbro name of "Shockwave" in both languages and not use the name "Laserwave" at all. :-?

There's something oddly endearing about how Shockwave's eyelid ever so slightly droops down. He manages to exude so much contempt from the tiniest of gestures.

Sabrblade wrote:They're based on these:

Or if you meant the hook-hand: this Lockdown is still based on his traditional look, so I'd still expect his trademark hook. I mean, they gave him his face tattoos and everything, so...

Have you noticed a common denominator in our last couple of gallery news posts? Those both featured Hasbro MP-07 Starscream and Generations GDO Leader Class Starscream. The trend stops here for these latest galleries which include Q-Transformers QT-29 Starscream and he brought his usual seeker squad including QT-30 Skywarp and QT-31 Thundercracker. However unlike how this trio is usually done, they are not straight repaints as they each feature a unique facial expression. MP-10 Optimus Prime is not the only bot to get the Evangelion crossover treatment which you can see his gallery here. In fact Q-Transformers sees your Unit-01 and raises you Unit-00 and Unit-02. These super deformed Q-Transformers evoke the Evangelion Prototype Unit-00, Test Type Evangelion Unit-01 and the first Poduction Model Evangelion Unit-02. They come together in a 3-figure set. These guys are retools of Q-Transformers Hello Kitty and their alt mode is based on G1 Optimus Prime's truck mode.

I love how they took the Hello Kitty mold and retooled it into something that is diametrically opposed to it tone-wise.

You have probably already heard of the Q-Transformers line, which deals with small transforming toys of superdeformed versions of well known Transformers characters (and other fun licensed characters). Well, there is now a new series referencing the Q line through Gashapon Capsule figures. Those are small toys that come in capsules which can be purchased at Gashapon Capsule stations (an example is shown below) and now we have some of the Transformers variety. These are smaller non transforming versions of pre-existing Q-Transformers toys/characters. Below you will find galleries for the Gashapon Capsule figures of Q-Transformers Optimus Prime, Bumblebee, Lockdown, Jazz and Arcee.

Never knew these capsule toy versions existed.

Jazz seems the odd duck of the bunch since, unlike the other four, he's barely been in the show or its related media.

If I had known that these were not known about, I would have posted a pic or two myself, as I bought Bumblebee about 2 weeks ago, from a "gachapon" mchine in Akihabara, Tokyo (just outside the "Robot Robot" shop, I think).

Its never too late. This was just a post about our gallery, we would still love to news that they were found in Japan, it could help our fellow Japanese audience. So if you have time these coming days, it would be awesome to have a picture of the actual gachapon machine these are found in. We would news that and give you a news credit :)

And that goes for any new toy you see, especially the kind you dont hear of much on the site (Kabaya toys are a good example). So if say you find Legends Blurr at retail in japan, let us know with a picture. We could post in in the thread and if its an early sighting, we could news it too :)

Ok. That wasn't a dig at the site; I just didn't know they were new, as the main Q-Transformer line seems to be winding down.

I can confirm that Amazon Japan is delivering my Computron today (Saturday, 27th August), While Blurr, Scourge and maybe Shockwave are being delivered today or tomorrow by Toys R Us Japan.

If you want pictures, i can do that, but how to send them? Seibertron has notoriously small file sizes for picture uploads compared to rival sites.

Oh I know it wasnt a dig, I just wanted to let you know how you could help us all and show us cool stuff :) The best way to send us images is my e-mail. I will send your our e-mail in a private message.

Also, Seibertron can let you post a bunch of pics, but not through uploads. You need to upload them to a photo sharing site (like www.photobucket.com), and then copy paste the photo's link in a post and surround it this:
