Cool

Yup, if it's for Wonderfest it's officially sanctioned by Takara.

I see a great future for the designer. A future perhaps in Takara's R & D just like Mr. Masterpiece's kitbashed Arcee so many years ago.

A
twitter post by Kamidukido reveals a Minerva resin kit being offered in limited numbers at Winter Wonderfest 2015. Since this is a Wonderfest figure, it is fully licensed.
For those wondering, Minerva was a character from the Transformers Masterforce show and also the very first female Transformers toy to ever exist. The original G1 toy can be seen
here.
The post was made by one of the designers who is calling it:
"emergency nursing warrior Minerva "

For those lucky to get a proxy service for her I salute you! If you guys recall Jizai toys, this is similar in a sense that Jizai's works were the basis of the Xtransbots not Powerglide and not Wheelie. Only Xtransbots probably didn't pay Jizai royalties for the mold

. Maketoys also had their own G1 scaled Powerglide which also had the same transform design.
Jizai back then also scored a limited license to release resin kits of Powerglide and Wheelie.
This is an officially licensed (but limited only to Wonderfest after which the prices just keep skyrocketing), by Tomy/Takara.
Wish Takara will take a look at her and make a mainstream release.

Based on the pic and stand, roughly the size or a bit taller than a figma so this scales well with Legends Arcee and the other fembots.
Intrigued if the head transforms or this is the Minerva from Victory. I hope the designer updates us more on this creation of his.
I hate Japan.........getting all the nice stuff

That looks awesome. A shame my only chance of getting one is if I can find a recast. I'm normally staunchly against KOs, but given that A: these are rare as hell, and B: recasting is an accepted part of the garage kit scene that the original sculptors don't generally have a problem with.

Ouch, a Resin kit? No thanks, massively difficult to put together. Really nice looking though!

This looks pretty cool, I wonder whether we might see Minerva as a Million Publishing repaint of Arcee to go with Go-Shooter. Would need a new head though.

why not it be a repaint of goshooter to pay homage to the G1 toy?

Given that they mixed them up already I suppose she would have to be a repaint of a future Generations Siren toy!

resin kit implies non-painted model kit right?

I think so, the non translated text comments on how he hopes he did the paint job correctly.

Nah, I can't see this being KO'd, at least not into a pre-made figure (as that would require putting more effort into it than simply reverse-engineering molds, and KO makers hate effort). That said as she's a garage kit she'll probably be recasted by a few people. Just be sure to get a good recaster- the ones from thailand are always awful.
I'd be totally up for painting and assembling her myself though. I'm good at painting and modelling, so it should be a breeze.

I thought that one time and bought a B-Club kit (basically a very small run Gundam resin kit). I was not prepared. It is sitting somewhere in a box with some primer on it but still looking like crap. The amount of sanding, trimming, cleaning, pinhole cleaning, and things like that required was just overwhelming.
Not saying this kit will be in that sort of rough state, but this is why I get scared when I see the term "Resin Kit". This probably ain't a Zoid or Gundam or Revell 1:24 whatever Car kit.
If it comes prepainted and cleaned and is just parts to assemble? Then heck yeah, bring it on!

You know the x-transbots powerglide and wheelie arent just KOs of the jizai molds right ? Theyre upsized and the wheelie has diecast parts. Theres nothing lazy about them. Somebody sacraficed a very expensive jizai version to make those possible.
