but will either hasbro or takara get licences from ferrari, porche, and lamborgini to make their transformer toys. do you think will that deal ever happen?

Porsche and Lamborghini are both a definite "no.", because they are owned/associated with Volkswagen, who do not want their vehicles associated with war.

Stupid, but true. We would've seen a really nice Alt Bumblebee if this hadn't been the case.

I'm kind of sad the Alts have ended, but honestly, the last few waves were practically impossible to find, and they were getting tired... nothing original was happening it was all just repaint after repaint. They were too expensive anyway.

There are boats and battleships, all throughout G1, Armada, Energon and Cybertron.

G1 Seaspray for example. And one of the triplechangers, don't know his name...

Armada Tidal Wave...huge battleship.

Energon Mirage & that Cybertron fembot are both military boats.

There may have even been a submarine at one point, I just can't think of any.

I don't know if you realize...Takara and Hasbro probably don't visit this site, and they certainly aren't going to listen to whatever we post. They do what they think will be profitable, nothing more. The only reason we got an Anime-accurate Masterpiece Starscream is there is a huge demand for it everywhere... they're sure to make a profit.

Don't get your hopes up by thinking anything we say here is going to affect Takara or Hasbro in any way.

If you truly want an ALternator type transformer with a Lamborghini alt mode, then Maybe you should consider Hapywells Lambo Roadbot.

Happywell makes few bots with different car alt modes. There's one with a Toyota Ladncruiser as an alt mode. and several others.

I'm almost positive there's a Lamborghini one. Anybody have the url to Happywell's website, and/or a pic to the Lambo Roadbot?

I wanted more Ford's, Dodge's, and a Plymouth Prowler.
No more Honda's, Mazda's, or other crappy imports.

I think the one that I wish Hasbro would have pushed harder for is the Volkswagon Bumblebee. Then we could have also gotten one in red as Cliffjumper.

I don't think any amount of pushing is going to change VW's mind on that. Shame considering they money they could have made off the movie....

For my shame I would have liked to have seen an MG Metro Alternator as a true homage to the 80's, very british though...

80's Trans-AM or a Delorean.

I wanna see KITT from Knight Rider as an Alternator. I should hire someone to make it happen, lol.

personally i would have liked to see some classic American muscle cars: 69 Dodge Chardger, 67 Mustang GT500, 67 Nova SS....and/or some classic cruisers: 49 Merc, 55, 56, or 57 Chevy BelAir, or the ultimate (IMO) 59 Cadillac DeVille...i really think this approach of combining transformers with licensed vehicles of Americas rich automotive history really could have helped this line out quite a bit. it would have been something different at least. classic hot rods meets transformers. makes sense to me. but i might be really alone on this one!

How about Alternators of the movie vehicles? That'd be awesome.

Also, would Unicron as Planet Earth count?

Why do people keep saying Alternators are dead? I heard they're waiting for the movie craze to finish!!!

The following was announced at botcon. It seems they will be dropping those lines because the returns were not too good.

No mentions of Alternators or Titaniums - had to make some choices based ... $2 million dollars invested in Alternators and die-cast in Titaniums ... Hasbro wasn't getting a return on their investment with those lines so they decided to focus on Classics 2.0.
Larger scales for Classics.
Similar number of figures as wave 1 in last fall's Classics line.
