I wanted to add some stuff, Burn covered it mostly (not the Jetfire h8, I love every incarnation of him, like he was Prime himself)
But the new leader Idw cw version, being MP scale is awesome. He may be hollow and plastic, but MP Thundercracker hides his emptiness inside.

Damn it! He looks even better than before!!! I'm on a budget and want to focus on the actual combiners, but this is sick! However, while blue is my favorite color, I've always prefered the Skywarp deco, so I might wait for that inevitable release.
However, I've also grown quite fond of Acid Storm due to getting the Universe deluxe as a gift from my father, so if he gets the leader treatment, I'll have no option but to chase him, the Legends and maybe even the MP, because I'm more likely to get all Acid Storms than I am to get all Skywarps xD

Starscream is next, but Skywarp can't be far off... Unless they Pull an Acid Storm, Sun Storm, or ...some other jet.
Fingers crossed for a.. (wiz khalifa steps to the mic) "black&yellow" deco. Roy Fokker Forever.
He does better then just a kiss Kirk!

If anyone is 50 shades of glorious, its Megatron!

Apologies if this is old and worn out, but its the first thing that comes to mind when I hear the word glorious. And CW Megs is quite glorious.

Seeing that group of Thundercrackers together made me think that this Leader figure has the best Jet Mode ever. Even better than Masterpiece. I was on the fence with these leader seekers before (its usually an all or nothing affair with me and seekers), but this may have put me over the top. This and if Skywarp looks as awesome as he should...

I really love the jet mode for Leader Thundercracker. It's a nice, sleek looking update for the character. The robot mode is similarly very good, but I think a few more tweaks would have made it truly great. I miss the shoulder intakes. They're a very iconic part of the Seeker sillouhette. Likewise, I wish the wings had some color detailing in robot mode. Those two additions really would have put him over the top.

That's a fair call BUT ... just like the Datsun boys, the Seeker jets are their own characters, they may share a mold but they're very much individual.

Buy them all. You'll be kicking yourself when they bring Skywarp out. (And they'd better bring Skywarp out)

Decepticus Prime and Seibertronian MartianSpyGirl1996 have brought us some interesting information about a possible Transformers Combiner Wars Leader Class Skywarp! What we have is an image from a (presumably) store product listing stating "TRA GEN LEADER SKYW" which (again presumably) will be based on the Leader Class Thundercracker mold. Are the days of us getting Thundercracker, Starscream, then Sunstorm/Acidstorm over? Only time will tell.... so stay tuned to Seibertron.com for all your Transformers News!

It'd be funny if it were a new leader mold based off of the F-15 Eagle :P

Looking forward to getting all the 1984 Season One seekers in the Generations Leader class. Always felt the Deluxe class seekers for CHUG were too small.

I'm glad I have no desire to get any of the Leader Class Seekers, otherwise I'd have to get them all...

he does look like a better seeker than a jet fire. I Did buy jet fire and hence can't justify this guy especially since i'd want to get the other seekers. Size wise i prefer him as jet fire as it feels somewhat truer to the original cartoon scale. But in terms of look and feel and alt mould, definitely works very well as an updated seeker.

Was that mold even meant to be used solely for Jetfire in the beginning? It feels like it was always intended to be a Seeker mold IMO.

When I finally have CW Leader Starscream, I will try Jetfire's jetpack and/or all his weapons on him, just to see how that look. :-?

I'd be a little curious to see that too. I wouldn't mind seeing the jet pack painted black on TC either.

I do think that jet mode would look good painted almost any color. Maybe not tutifruti?

You'd be happy to hear then that someone has found skywarp on a computer. But since there was never photo evidence, the rumour doesnt hold much water.

Also, I do have a question about this mold being great for seekers. The one part that throws me off is the wings in robot mode. I am used to one set of wings extending out his sides on the back. But with this mold, the wings are more of a canopy that keep going upwards past his shoulders. I didnt mind that for Jetfire but for the seekers, it looks a bit off. Granted, I only saw that when I compared it to the MP. How do you feel about the new wing arrangement? And you dont miss the vents on the side of his head?

But you're looking at him from a nostalgia perspective.

Masterpiece Thundercracker is the Seeker mold of the 20th century. It's the definitive rendering of his cartoon self.

You can have that look in multiple ways, we have already, Robot Masters, Classics ... it's been done.

Now look at CWL Thundercracker again. Remembering what century you're living in. It's still Thundercracker, but he's better designed, his look is updated, yes it's different but it's a GOOD different.

I LOVE this mold for the Seekers. Jetfire can just with the rest of the so-called CW "outcasts". This is his second chance and he's once again failed.

Thanks for your reply, it is a very interesting take. But I am super confused by your thought of Jetfire as a failure. I thought the reasons he was seen as a failure were due to the hollowness and the fake chest, two asoects that remain the same with this used as a seeker mold. So what makes Jetfire a failure while not staining the use of this mold for seekers?

Aw heck yeah, Skywarp!

Though I'd REALLY like to see a leader class Thrust done with this mold. I mean - we all like VTOL turbines, right...?

Yay! Really glad Skywarp, my fav seeker in terms of colors, has a sorta confirmed release! He's gonna pull off that mold so well, can't wait to see that sexy purple and black color scheme.
