Hi all,

I am currently trying to build up a Decepticon Head Masters collection. So far I have Generations Scourge, Reveal the Shield Cyclonus, The Vintage Coloured Mania King (Not Galvatron) and Hexatron (Not Six-shot).

So I'm looking at getting the Fans Project Head Masters, but as for Soundblaster - which should I choose. Do I get the MP one, and if so how much bigger is he than the Standard Generations figures? (Don't want him to look too much out of scale), do I go for the FOC version and just deal with the different look or the Original G1 re-issue. Is there any other versions out there which would look better?

Any help would be Awesome,

Jinnai.

If you go with FoC there's a fan-made boombox transformation mode. If you go with Animated he comes with a keytar, but probly isn't the right scale.

I've said it in another thread, but even as a Generations collector, I still think G1 Soundblaster (he has had at least a few reissues so he shouldn't be too hard to find) is a great figure. He's a bit lacking in articulation, but he's still really fun and doesn't look out of place.

Might be a little pricy (I haven't ever really looked at what the black version goes for) but you could try and hunt down the Device Label version. He stands about Deluxe scale in robot mode.

Here is Soundblaster with Reprolabels, via an image from Reprolabels website:

Here's my own Soundwave version of the same mold, just to give you a few more views:

Okay, curiosity got the better of me and I checked eBay. Looks like he goes for about between $75.00 and $100.00, shipped. (Of course, that is without the Reprolabels, which I'd recommend for this guy as well.) So yes, pricy. But still (in my opinion) the best looking more modern toy of the character. And if your collection includes third party figures, not a price range you are likely completely opposed to.
