Hi all im in the UK. I've just started my collection of G1 transformers with a boxed Optimus Prime & Ultra Magnus but was just wondering if anyone had any info on the best places to get hold of G1 toys I was also looking into starting collecting the masterpiece collection although I can't seem to find them in the UK apart from Amazon & Ebay does anyone know a website that specialises in selling them. Also does anyone know of any toy fairs around the UK to hunt for these toys.

Thanks in advance for all your help.

Pete

Hi and welcome

You could try BBTS, TFsource and other site sponsors for Masterpeice but for G1 stuff you could check what others here are selling.

I think Seibertron.com has an ebay store but don't quote me on it because i am not sure.

Good luck with your hunt.

Hey, welcome! I'm not really a "G1" collector (I'm more into the newer "Generations" line), but I may be able to help you out. Like Thadicon said, you can find them on eBay (be careful for KO's though!). In terms of conventions, at the majority of comic conventions you'll probably be able to find at least a few vendors selling TF's, as they're a pretty common toy line for collectors.

Oh, also, like Thadicon said, websites such as TFSource or BigBadToyStore may have some G1 figures, but probably not a whole ton, last I checked they really didn't have too many of those.

Alas, I don't do much G1 collecting. It can be a bit pricy for my tastes. And hard to get certain figures in decent condition. But if that is your passion, awesome!

I just fuel my G1 nostalgia with "Classics" style modern updates.

A few examples of my collection:

(One advantage of the modern updates is occasionally, you get characters who never had G1 toys, such as Unicron or, most recently, Arcee!)

Anyway, good luck growing your collection! And please share the results as you go. Finally, welcome to the community!
