Big News from Hasbro's official Transformers page on Facebook! They have just posted an image linked to the current Combiner Wars line of what appears to be reflector (see below). This release will supposedly be replacing the fan built combiner, as stated in the following message they wrote:
Due to issues with the voting mechanism, we have to make some executive decisions on the Fan-Built Combiner. Here’s a sneak peek at what we’re thinking!

As many of you know by now, this was just Hasbro having a little fun on April Fool's Day. But who knows, maybe they're secretly gauging fan reaction to see if a Combiner Wars Reflector figure should indeed be in the works. Only time will tell!

This is exciting but people remember what day it is today. No announcements can be taken too seriously.

Yeah, it even says "April Fools" in the corner.
Poor Reflector gets no respect

Kinda loses the point when they blatantly put an April Fools hashtag in the corner of the pic. Dear Hasbro, we love you but you're trying too hard.

Pfff! You can see the April Fools logo in the corner of the picture. But the real fool here is Hasbro for taking so long to update these guys while 3P's were capitalizing.

Did you ever stop and think that the April Fool's is, in fact, the prank? It's prankception and the joke is the joke.

I'm still trying to figure out what "apepars" or "ape pars" is/are.
LOL!

You'd think making an
"updated" Legends class version of their very first combiner would make more sense than releasing crappy looking guns modes and chess plates that don't even fit.
But that's an April fool for the rest of the year.

HAHA, I WISH! I was trying so hard to continue this april fools joke by not linking to the facebook page where the first post reads "APRIL FOOLS" but they really made that hard with the obvious writing in the bottom corner.

But it also says "Look to the Future", which gives me salt-grain flavored hope that maybe once April Fool's Day is over, they'll make Reflector; he just won't be replacing the Fan-Built combiner.
Issues with the voting process? I'm not so sure...

The "issues with the voting process" would be that fans didn't vote in line with what Hasbro already decided they were going to make.

So the image says April Fools and the post about said image says April Fools, therefore the April Fools cancel out and we are left with actual news! It's simple mathematics, really.

The site has changed it's April Fools policy? Awesome, that's an improvement!
God, if I think back at all the awesome April Fools stuff I wanted to post over the years XD

That's like saying two wrongs make a right. Which they don't

Pretty weak joke IMO, and why poor Reflector?

I would definitely take a Reflector over the abomination that will be the "fan" built combiner.
Furthermore, I do not see how this is a April fools joke. Why would you create this and think it is funny?

Yep. That and the fact that true voting does not mean you choose between four or five pre-created attributes. The "voting" system they used on this and Windblade reminds me of the Presidential election. They choose two people and you get to chose which one, even if both are crooks. Or in this case, lumps of plastic sh*t.

We do make an effort to publish all TF related official statements from Hasbro. Regardless of the nature of this announcement, it was from Hasbro and TF related. If you have any other news that would only work this day, please reveal it in this thread

Oh no, I was referring to when I used to be News Crew, every year I saw all these awesome April Fools things by stores and such, I think Takara even had a ridicules announcement regarding MP Grimlock once. But posting such jokes was against site policy, because Ryan hates April Fools day, and doesn't want it to mix in with our performance as a news site.

It's going to be amazing when the feedback from this makes them go "oh, wait, they really do want a combining set of three bots that makes Reflector? Well, ok then!"
Or it leads to a reissue of the G1 Reflector toy in cartoon accurate colors. Let's see it happen, Platinum Series. I'm watching you.

At least, they could've released the RTS Perceptor retool they talked about way back.
Doesn't matter. The Perfect Effect version works well enough for me.

I got all excited before I read the whole poster. So sad, its a shame because this is a character who really needs an update. Like I said before Reflector needs to redone so that they have both a combined vehicle/object as well as humanoid mode as well as their individual robot modes.

I agree with that policy. Posting false news is not funny nor it is a joke of any kind.
Not that I am mad at William or anything for posting this.

Sorry William. What I should have said was " why would one create this" rather than saying you. I never blamed you for this farce.

I know and I understood. You got that I was merely the messenger playing along with Hasbro. But click the link I put in that message (
this one), it brings you back to the official facebook post by Hasbro. And you are free to ask them idrectly why they thought it would be funny to post this fake news.
Personally, I feel Hasbro is testing the waters and I am glad to have this article up in the archives with the hope of needing to unearth it one day to refer to it in light of a new reveal
