Basically, he doesn't hold onto Menasor's chest. Anybody else have this issue?

That's a very common issue I'm afraid. You don't really need him anyway, when closed Menasor's chest already resembles the original. Hopefully the issue will be fixed by the time Blackjack's pretool Rodimus is released.

I finally got Blackjack thanks to a friend in my area who spotted him earlier this week and picked him up for me. I'm having the same problem, and I'm pretty sure it's a design issue. The posts on Menasor's chest aren't standard 5mm posts. Instead, they're a kind of odd triangular arrangement of three skinnier cylinders sort of melded into one. Those posts are much too wide to fit the 5mm holes on Blackjack's underside. I think what happens for some is that you can force one of the posts in a bit because the hole is located where the legs on the figure split, so you can get a bit more tolerance out of that tight fit. The other is a complete no-go. The same issue with the same weird pegs occurs with Dragstrip's weapon. He can hold it as a sword, but the peg on the side that would presumably let him hold it as a gun or store it like so in vehicle mode doesn't fit any 5mm hole. I'm not sure what on earth the designers were thinking. These problems should have been obvious during development testing and QC.

Yeah just gonna have to sand down those pegs a bit on Motormaster's Menasor chest. No biggie. If this is the worst problem this Menasor has, I'm totally satisfied :thinks about FP Motormaster, then cries:

No need to sand, glue, shave or adjust folks.
Just wrap the pegs with a little piece of paper, or jam a little inside BJacks ports with a dull screwdriver, to increase the surface friction and bam, he works like a charm.
You can also do a small escalation and get the nonnef.com adapter for it for a fiver; whichever suits your fancy.

Well, just to add to the growing consensus, I just got home with Blackjack myself, so I tried him in the chest cavity of my Combiner Wars Optimus Prime and he was indeed quite loose. Looks like he'd theoretically stay on fine for a shelf display, but the moment you moved Menasor, he'd drop off.

Fortunately, not a huge issue for me. I'm not getting Combiner Wars Menasor, and just thought Blackjack looked like a cool stand alone figure.

So I actually got something to work for me...

I wound up shaving down the one page on MM, and I wrapped the other peg with some Duct tape.

The thicker parts of both pegs are too big for Blackjacks ports, but the skinny part is too skinny for the port near BlackJacks legs.

Not really. The big guy needs his roller car or he just looks wrong.

I used Super Glue on Blackjack's hole, not the one on his legs, but the other one, and let it dry over night. Worked great, but after a few attachments/detachments, the glue seems to have transferred out from the hole and onto Menasor's nipple. Still holds, so whatever, if I need to I can always reapply or whatever.

In principle I agree, but it was nice that the Combiner Wars version was designed in a way where the car is optional, and he also looks good (as far as he can, since I don't think this Menasor looks good in the first place ) with the chest cavity closed.
