But we know Starscream isnt getting any of those though.

 I guess the other option is picking up CW Leader Screamer for the crown only. Has anyone tried that yet, fitting that crown to MP? Watch this MakeToys Howling Meteor come with all of the above for $90USD.

Sure, it was between 85$ and 115$ depending on Japanese retailer. So this is in the ballpark while it not being an outright deal. It is cheaper than the cheapest it ever sold before and there is no need form importing.

85 is what I'd be comfortable paying for a MP-11 style jet. Like I said for what they are the most I'd pay for the cars is between $45-$55. Keep in mind I have all of the cars released thus far from Takara, because I'm weak.

I agree with that figure, thats how much I paid for 2 of my MP cars. I did spend more for wheeljack though but I didnt mind since I got the super fancy edition with the coin and tool box. And I was in Hong Kong and very susceptible to to impulse purchases.

I have all the special editions, except for Sideswipe. I didn't need the pile drivers.

I didnt know that was from the special edition, guess I have him then (I went for the TF Expo exclusive that comes with an autobot sticker instead of a tampo). Also, hat means you went well over your 55$ cut off. But I understand and share your weakness. I guess we can say that 45-55 is what we will pay for the Hasbro version ;)

Guys, I have G2 Bee en-route from amiami for $40.83. Shipping included. Tracks is 5620 Yen. Thats $45.52. Add shipping and he'll probably come in right around $55. So, I guess my point is, it's totally possible to hit that price bracket you said.

Exactly. I didn't wait because I'm tired of Hasbro's one a year deal they do with MPs. Also I heard from many different sources when Takara started doing cars that it would be extremely difficult, if not impossible, to get the cars released over here. As of right now I'm being told with almost 100% certainty Bumblebee will never see a US release.

Was it due to licensing then? We know from the alternators line that the licensing is done locally and that the Japanese headquarters are more open to licensing their name to "war toys", hence why their version Alternators Windcharger had a long barrelled gun while the US version had it neutered.

In any case, its too bad we wouldnt get bumblebee, and I really hope sideswipe comes out in the states for all to enjoy. Same with Wheeljack.

Yes licensing is an issue. The other issue is believe it or not, panel lines. Car companies were/are concerned about the sculpt of the vehicle being broken up more than it should. It would send the wrong message to car aficionados.

I'm sorry, but that seems like an incredibly ignorant fear for car companies. I think people understand the difference between a real car and a scale model that also turns into a robot. I don't think Volkswagen is going to lose a ton of sales if Bumblebee has a few more panel lines in a 1960's replica "Beetle" toy.

I totally agree but that was an issue Hasbro brought up with Alternators. Apparently car fans were seeing the toys in store and getting concerned about how they looked. Keep in mind the thing with panel lines and such has to do with illegal street racing and the world around it.

Video Review of ToysRus Exclusive: Hasbro Transformers Masterpiece Bluestreak

With Toysrus' Exclusive Hasbro Masterpiece Bluestreak in stock in both the US and Canada, a review was inevitable. Of course, it has been said that the amount of differences between this release and the Takara one are between negligible and non existent but as fellow Seibertronian IJK Productions puts it :

I just figured that I'd send in the video that I did about Hasbro's MP-06 Bluestreak and point out that it is exactly the same a Takara's MP-18 Streak.

Enjoy!

So I was at TRU yesterday, looking for some CW limbs, when I spotted a MP Sunstorm. I thought about getting it, but for $80 it was a hard sell. I like the character from the DW comics, but the MP figure has some red parts that aren't accurate to the character. Is the figure good to own by itself, or is it just a cheap repaint?

You found one and DIDN'T buy it?! Dang, that's good self control if you like the character. I kinda wish I picked him up and Acid Storm, can never have too many MP's
