Anyone have an answer, as to why the deco's for both figures / characters are so similar?

There're only so many ways to splash bright g2 colors on a tank.

Brawl's a sycophant?

It was the style at the time?

It's because of all of the green and purple jungles that existed in the 90's. Such garish camouflage was essential for covert operations in heavily wooded areas. It made sense for any tank to utilize such a color scheme, so Megatron and Brawl got to be twinsies! Alas, global warming has destroyed all of the purple trees of the jungles of Earth.
