Question for customizers and collectors

Hi, does anybody know or can tell me how to find out what the average size the holes are on the fists of the G1 toys? Either that or what size the pegs are on some of the weapons? Also, is there a site that makes custom action figure weapons for people to buy? I was thinking about upgrading the arsenal of a few of my G1 figures because let's be honest here. Some of their original weapons are quite puny!

Do you mean G1 G1? As in the 80s figs or the updated G1 figs? If you mean the former, especially the cars, all are quite small though they scale on par with the latest Arcee figure's hands. If the latter, their fists' sizes are too not standard size.

There is a site that sells articulated custom fists, amiami to be exact though I suspect those are for Gundams.Check the 3rd party section. Some of the posters there do sell articulated customized hands. BBTS and the likes Robot Kingdom also sell 3rd party items.

The best you can do is go via ebay and or Aliexpress (the ebay version of China aka Alibaba).

Heres an interesting read via the TF Wiki on Transformers and the use of the standard 5mm post used with the original G1 Transformers and still used today.

Here are a just a few links to folk who make/sell all sorts of bits such as weapons, heads, hands, feet etc! ;)

Shortly after I made this post and before anyone replied, I "accidentally" came across the same TF Wiki link that you gave me. (WHOOPS!) but as for the links with the customizable parts, thanks a load! That really helped me out!

Yes, I was talking about the original G1 figs (as well as the reissues) I've got two Autobot cars and from what I've seen on TFwiki their weapons are interchangeable. As for the rest (leaders, Dinobots, etc.) I have no clue. The reason why I posted this was because I saw some G1 figures sans weapons that I wanted to acquire and I thought they would look cool if I beefed them up a little bit. Not having original accessories doesn't bother me one bit, but I do appreciate the feedback :D
