Wow, a G2 figure that actually looks nice instead of a garish color. WONder of WONders, MIRacle of MIRacles.

This would have made so much more sense than a FD helicopter.

G2 Prototype Defensor Uncovered: Gallery Part 3 - Groove

Its another day, so its time for another piece of G2 Defensor! Part 3 has been posted by z75sales, which features Groove. Someone at Hasbro must have looked at Wreck-Gar and thought "man.. orange motorbikes are cool, we need more than that, only EXTREME'ER" resulting in our bright biker here. Scroll down to see the flamboyant Protectobot, or click here for Part 1 (First Aid), and Part 2 (Blades). Stay tuned for Part 4, and stick around Seibertron.com: home of the best Galleries and Conversation around!

With a couple paint apps, we now have a use for Combiner Wars Wreck-Gar.

While I have no desire to own a G2 Defensor, I'm super stoked that we're getting decent pics of it and the members after all these years.

Interesting how many of the G2 figures didn't think putting the team logo onto the figures was enough. No, let's make it even more obvious by putting big labels on them that say directly what team they're on. 'AUTOBOT!'

And the day-glow colors.... uy.

I would love to get a G2 Combiner Wars Defensor, Bruticus, Superion, and Menasor.

Awesome! WE can all see why these were not a good idea at the time, maybe? But now, with FunPub's interest in creating updated versions of rare, obsure, characters and toys, or toys that only made it to the planning stage, I'm hoping that it is only a matter of time before they pounce on these sure money grabs.

Yep, those oogly colors of Groove reminds me why I never bought a G2 toy that I can recall.

I dont know..........doesn't fit into my scale preference.......and an orange motocycle? That sure does not instill fear to them criminals? Maybe Groove is just high on Ethanol or something

Maybe he doesn't fit in on Earth, but on some other planet, or in the 1980's Earth? Perhaps...

I really do like Blades colors. Blinding rotor blades, and a nice dark blue for the rest.

I think Streetwise has my favorite color scheme in the G2 P-bots. Can't wait to see him again.

If Groove was a Junkion, maybe orange would indeed fit him........yeah, not on Earth, orange does fit......On the mark TT!

Apparently, by Generation 2, the Autobots had completely given up on that "Robots in Disguise" concept. As if to completely defy the concept of anonymity, most of these guys have THEIR NAMES emblazoned on their alt modes, robot mode, or both. Did Hasbro think kids were going to constantly forget the names of their toys? Or maybe it's about the 90's being a time of shameless and unironic self-promotion for everyone.

I wouldn't be surprised if a few online outlets like BBTS didn't jump on the chance to put out some exclusive "G2" sets of the current Combiner Wars offerings, a la the G2 Bruticus from FoC Bruticus a few years ago. Hasbro, make it so!

Very cool to see.....my only nitpick is this....why is Groove's head not fully retracted in motorcycle mode? It's just sitting on the ground like a kickstand, when it can collapse into his body to allow the front wheel to be flush with the cycle.

I thought about that too. Maybe he/she doesn't know it can collapse back, or maybe she/he thought it was a kickstand!

A little late to the party, but all my respect for transforming First Aid with that gold plastic. That's something normally only a crazy person like me would do.
