i appologize, cuz in the cartoon he was this huge blue and white robot both in the animated movie and the series. since when did he becomes optimus prime painted in white. btw will takara be releasing an exclusive trailer for ultra magnus just like the mp-01 figure later became known as mp-04 with a trailer.

Well the idea became solidified in the DW comics where Ultra Magnus's trailer really is body armor that goes over the white prime deco. So a white prime model is Ultra Magnus and the G1 style that we know is his battle suit.

Some hate the idea, I personally love the idea, never really seen used until now, just wish we could see it in toy form updated with articulation.

DW is teh ONLY place where Magnus is a white prime wearing armour. Everyone else has him as a completely different looking robot (the version in the movie).

The original Magnus toy had a white Prime figure as the front of the lorry with a trailer that combined with it to give the IMO proper version of Magnus. That was because the original Diaclone it came from had it as 'Powered Convoy'. The advert can be seen on Youtube. That's how this whole debaccal started.

Dw may have started it, but Takara and Hasbro loved the idea and went along with it.

That's cos it be a quick and easy repaint for popular scurvy land lubbers. Arrr. Someone hit me with a wet kipper, I can't stop blabbering like a Pirate. Yarr.

That's because we don't know. Many people simply assume they are but Takara likes to hold on to the big secrets as long as they can. As of right now I'd say the best bet is that may be JustiToys working on one but it's a little out of their league.
