Grey Plastic Weirdness?

Has anyone else noticed some weirdness with Combiner Wars figures that use a lot of grey plastic?

For example: my copy of Offroad feels almost oily to the touch and his legs untab themselves at the slightest bump. Skydive and Motormaster have similar problems staying tabbed together. Am I just unlucky or is something up with the plastic they're using?

I had this experience but not with TFs. But with some anime figures made by Xebec/Kaiyodo. WWhat's worst its MISB but straight through the blister pack, you can tell something slimy has indeed formed.

Do you live in the continental USA? Temperate zones should have issues like this at minimum. Maybe you can have it replaced?

So far my Offroad and Motormaster look fine, but I have yet to open them.

East coast, though it has been rainy and humid here in recent times. I wouldn't call it a slimy feeling. Something just doesn't feel right on those three specifically. Can't replace them, and even if I could I'm afraid the replacements would have the same issues.

Isn't that just mold release residue? It should come off with some warm water and a soft towel.

None of mine are slimy. Motormaster's got hella loose leg joints (much much looser than my Optimus version of the mold) but no residue or anything.
