You know the drill by now, after all the many reveals today from the Hasbro Brand Panel comes official Images. This photogallery of images covers the gambit including G2 Superion and Menasor (and their component bots), Scattershot, Fan's Choice Combiner Victorion, RID Clash of the Transformers, Masterpiece and Platinum Editions. Some one really screwed up the victorion images.




Some images are repeated and not all the members are shown!

All three combiners look smashing.

Can't wait for Victorion, do we know if hasbro is charging the inflated price for the G2 combiners?

You know, Victorion's deco is a little garish, but it fits in well with the G2 combiners. I like her special hands and feet, I hope that starts a trend and we see more of those.

Probably not, she is a special case, so she gets the new limb attachments, besides, I doubt that hasbro would change up the hands/feet in the middle of the year.

Pete actually confirmed we were getting a g2 menasor in a podcast way back before this years botcon had began

5yeah i hope "betatron" will never become a "thing" guess we will have to have takara to make us our computron i hope scattlrshot gets a new mold not.. that thing of a mess

How is it a mess? It is definitely some sort of prototype, it's chunky like the actual scattershot, and the first thing I thought when I saw the pic was 'Scattershot', so it pulls the job off

The images have been added to the gallery. Hasbro didn't upload them yesterday but emailed me late last night to let us know that those images had been added.

I'm OK with Scattershot being a remold of Silverbolt. He just needs an actual Computron head and not a recolored Superion head. I was bummed yesterday ... i really thought they were going to unveil a proper Computron/Technobots set.

I've mentioned a few times, that if he is wave 3, he wouldn't be revealed proper until NY toy fair of next year, like defensor was for this year. Last year we were given two combiners up front, like this year. Superion and Menasor then, and Bruticus and Skyreign now, so we really shouldn't be expecting any new reveals until some time next year

But yes, betathingy was a massive c*&k-tease, and yes, I think he should have a new head, I assume.

On another note, could you possibly ask the hasbro booth if the deco on victorion is final, or is it possible to add additional details that couldn't be hand painted?

I could have sworn that it was reported that Scattorshot was a Wave-mate with Onslaught.

He is, but I was referring to the reveal of the technobots not being for a while.

While I was talking to Hasbro yesterday, they teased that there might be more to "Betatron". I can't remember exactly what they said but they alluded to there being more by saying something along the lines of beta being the first, kind of like betamax back in the 80s. And they said it with a smile/grin and maybe a little wink. Whatever they said to me gave me hope that we'll get the rest of the Technobots. I'm most bummed about the head ... he needs Computron's head. Without it, it's just a Superion recolor.

I figured, by the look of the various parts, he was literally a work in progress, something they had been adding parts too in their spare time from a 3d printer, or something, but he does need a new head, probably wouldn't be too hard to just make a new front half and screw it on, I know the secret galvatronus head took a long time to be revealed, so there is precedent for it being kept a 'secret', here's hoping.

I'm guessing Betatron is a "beta test" of Scattorshot as a combiner torso. Also, I'm glad Hasbro admits even they thought "Betamax" when they made up this name. That's pretty funny. I think we do need to keep an eye on the ongoing fiction with IDW to see how this plays out.

Thanks for letting me know! Hasbro kept the file name the same but switched the image from the vehicle mode to the robot mode so I didn't catch it because I just went by filename comparisons. I've updated the picture.
