Combiner Hunters Windblade's weapon

I personally am very pleased with the Combiner Hunters box set however the huge pole weapon that comes with Windblade doesn't seem to fit in her hands! It's already caused some paint to flake on the weapon trying to get it in. Any advice?

Ouch, good luck with that.
Maybe the hair drier trick to loosen the hand up a bit may help.
