This is some huge news for Starscream fans. Rick Sellers of Rick Sellers Productions posted a news release on his Facebook page describing a new voice project for an electronic Transformers toy. While he doesn't mention Starscream by name, the description of "sniveling sycophant with delusions of glory!" is Starscream's M.O. Rick Sellers who will be voicing the toy goes on to say that the voice will be based on the original G1 voice actor Chris Latta. He also goes on to say that the toy will be based on the Robots in Disguise cartoon signalling that Starscream could possibly come to the series from his supposed demise in Transformers Prime.

He also uploaded a video to Facebook preview his take on Starscream based on G1. You can see that video here.

Richard Sellers Productions; 10-4-15 TRANSFORMERS HASBRO TOYS New Transformers project wrapped up! I'd received an e-mail from a Senior Designer at Hasbro Toys working on electronic Transformers toys.
They needed a character voice and original sound effects for a new toy! " Decepticons Attack!"
The project entailed creating a character voice for a Decepticon ( A G1 bad guy. If you're a Transformers fan, think "sniveling sycophant with delusions of glory!" Sound familiar? Rick Sellers will be voicing the character based on the original G1 voice actor.
The new talking electronic toy is based on Hasbro's latest iteration of the TF franchise, the very popular Transformers animated series"Robots in Disguise".The animated children's television show airing on The Cartoon Network.
We began the new project just days ago 9-23-15 at Creekside Audio Recording Studios,working with Wes McCraw the chief engineer and owner of Creekside Audio to record, edit, and create all the audio including the voice and sound effects for the toy.
Friday 10-2-15 marked the completion of the production. All the audio files have been sent off to Hasbro! I received a brief e-mail from Hasbro "The files sound GREAT!"

don't voice actor typically sign non-disclosure agreements when they work on stuff like this?

Wow that voice acting was actually pretty good , but it could use some editing to make it sound just right

Damn, so many new things coming up. I wish they would leave these guys a fair distance though. I like Steeljaw and want him to keep going

Seriously, I'm really happy with the news and I'm looking forward to Starscream's new design. Call me weird, but I hope he will have a "man-beast" robot mode to fit with the rest of the RiD crew. It would be somewhat bad-ass if it would be like a traditional crow-youkai tengu, with a jet altmode, of course.

Expect this to be one of the simplistic toys that either may not transform at all or may only transform in a couple of non-complicated steps.

Wonder if it'd be possible to talk Seibs into updating the faction symbol inventory around here? We got Star Seekers, Knights, dragon Preds, etc, that we don't have emoticons for.
